Last week I was joking around with some friends about how I should just got buy one because I didn't get into the program at school I was anticipating and it would be another year of income from my job. I started to look around and lo and behold, within a week I now have an 03 Touring Edition with Xenon and the Bose options sitting in my driveway. She's a beauty and is in mint condition sitting right at 80k driven by a 50+ year old woman since day one. I'm definetely happy with my purchase but have a few questions:

1. Suggestions on wheels. This is my daily driver that I'll be modding up over time, but I wanna keep it light, so I'm thinking 18's. Wheels and tires in the 2000 dollar range. I'm not going to lower it either.

2. Bose system-It hits pretty damn hard for stock, but I'd like a little more punch to the base. The high's and mid's are plenty for me, but is it possible to replace the 10" Bose sub with another one and just run an amp to it, or would it be possible for me to just get rid of the Bose head unit, replace with something else, and still keep all of the Bose components.

3. Other than wheels, I have no plans on modding the exterior except a lip, but I'm very interested in mods for the interior and the best sites to purchase them at. Mine is redline and I've already got an appointment to get red leather inserts custom upholstered into the stock seats. Would like some ideas on different mods to the interior to spice it up a bit. I'd like to put this in some amatuer car shows and bring home some trophies.

4. And last but not least, what is your all's opinion on JWT Pop charger or Full Cats. Kinda need to make up my mind on what I'm wanting to do to add a little HP. I'd like to be able to beat Mustang GTs stock and what not no problem.

Any help is much appreciated. Can't wait to be an active member on here. Thanks and hope to hear from ya soon.
I put my wheel info on your other (wheel) thread.
I did the pop charger and Nismo exh. Love it. Had HF Cats but went back to stock due to noise level. I drive in town all day and it sounds better w/stock cats to me. Just my two cents.. Congrats!!!

Please don't do this! Everything else from SQBassHead is good advice but this! Either keep your stock exhaust or wait till you can purchase an exhaust. Again, you can get great deals in the market place!

I know it sounds like a stupid idea bro, rice as f'k and all,,,, but I'm telling you! It actually sounds good , I got alot of compliments on it..... I had it made so the bar that goes across in the rear would flow right over the bumper and was hidden so it looked exactly like stock..... Kept my exhaust craving ob check untill I got my hks

Worst case scenario you can opt for a Megan Racing single exit. Less then $400 and from what I've read, pretty decent construction.

Guys out of all honesty, I didn't buy this car to go the cheap route out. If I'm going to do something to this, I wanna do it right. If money becomes a problem, I'll wait until it's not. As of now, I have 750 bucks a month I'll be putting up for mods and what not. From what I can tell, I'll probably just do the pop charger and an exhaust rather than the cat back system. Not really necessary unless you are building a speed demon, which at the moment, I am not.

Ok let me rephrase this. Rather than full front to back aftermarket catback, just getting some bigger tips and test pipes?

You could always look into modding the LED's on the gauges from the stock orange, along with the rest of the lights in the car. I'm not experienced, I'm just a college student who is thinking of stuff that looks cool.

Red+Black two tone interior sounds sexy to me, but might be too much.

Some nice racing harnesses could be a nice touch, depending on your personal taste.

This confirms my opinion that a stock 350Z is a handsome car.
