Finally got my dream
You could always look into modding the LED's on the gauges from the stock orange, along with the rest of the lights in the car. I'm not experienced, I'm just a college student who is thinking of stuff that looks cool.
Red+Black two tone interior sounds sexy to me, but might be too much.
Some nice racing harnesses could be a nice touch, depending on your personal taste.
Morpheas,
I have had my Z like two weeks now and you are the exact reason out there that people are labeled ricers. Two tone interior would be great, but the lights are a bit much, actually come to think of it, no they would be ok too. But racing harnesses on a stock engine? What are they for. To hold me down because of my extreme speed? To make my life harder everyday? So girls can't lean over to give me the old eh eh!

Already flaming others? OP will fit in nicely
Welcome and congrats. I'll be turning 24 soon as well. Got my car after my first year in college. Like it has already been said, there is a wealth of info here, just do some searching. I would just decide on what you want to improve and work on that project till you're satisfied.
You can upgrade your front speakers and get a 10" sub with a amp for a few hundred amps (setup I have with ipod direct connect for stock headunit).
I have a nismo exhaust and LOVE the sound (very smooth) with crawford headers.
People will tell you that you won't get any gains from NA mods. It's small, but it will make a difference (just look at drag strip time slips here).
Anyway, have fun with it

I'm 23 as well, just graduated college and started working, Z has been my dream since freshman year or so in high school when my older buddy got an 03 coupe. Planning on getting one in a couple months after I have enough for a good down-payment.
Was just curious who your insurance provider is, and how much you pay a month? It looks like I'm looking at ~$200/mo (which is about what I expected - I have one speeding ticket) but I'm not really sure who to go with, my fiance has Progressive so I looked there and at State Farm. The coverage was basically identical and the price was the same.

Your insurance is really going to vary depending on all of your personal information. My roomate is a Progressive agent actually and it was only 5 dollars more to switch to him from State Farm. That being said, I would go with who ever you feel will handle your problems down the road more quickly and efficiently. I'm very familiar with insurance and I'd rather pay a little more for better service when it really counts. To shorten the point I'm getting at, go with whoever explains things better to you and actually tries to get your to purchase different options. A lot of people do not realize how many things they could use for only a few dollars more per month that will help down the road. In my case, it's going to raise my insurance 15 dollars a month to purchase 5000 worth of Custom Parts and Accessories insurance which will cover my wheels, body kit, or anything that falls into that category. I pay 155 a month for full coverage. Here is my declarations:
50/100/500
250 Deductible-Comprehensive
500-Deductible-Collision
30 dollars a day rental
Roadside assistance
5000 Medical Payments
I've got great insurance but I also totalled my last car with only liability and learned an 8000 dollar lesson out of my own pocket. Took just over a year to pay that lesson off. Be safe and get good coverage. Your prices will depend on how many points are on your driving record, your age, what the vehicle is, what color it is, your credit score, your insurance history, etc. Having your fiance on your plan with drop the price though drastically because she is a girl, and you will then be getting a multiple car discount. Hope this helps.
