Default New 350z owner in FL! pics!

Hello to my new family! I bought my first Z last week and love it, IMO the best color pikes peak white, 55 thousand miles. Here are a few pics...I want black wheels! Buy new black wheels=expensive or maybe sell the stock ones and come out hopefully only spending a couple hundred? Powder coating here in Sarasota is about $150 per wheel(ouch) or paint them myself? What do you think?

Welcome to the board. and YES, ppw is the best color. Check my garage for pix of ppw with black p/c wheels. It looks good. Especially with 20mm and 25mm spacers there. Don't cheat yourself or your car.

PS, you will prlly get hated on for the eyelids............inb4removeeyelidscomment

congrats on the z, me personally like the eyelids. for wheels, just look around on the forum, anything you can basically think of has been done so you can get an idea for you self.

HAHA thanks, I will look at removing them. I dont really want to be "that" guy. i was not told that the car had the spacers there...???? it does have the eibach springs if that makes a difference. Since I have bought the car I wanted something a little louder than the stock exhaust and after some research I went with a 80 series flowmaster muffler welded in.(I may get hated for that as wel) but I love that it is not to loud and I didnt have to spend $800! Part plus labor was $225. Im not building a high horsepower car so the 5-10 HP does not really matter to me when there is a difference of hundreds of $$, What do you think?

Biggest thing I have learned is to build the car for YOU, not this forum or it's members. Some people get hung up on who does what to their Z. Who cares? Now if its REAAALLY bad or someone says "what do you think of this?" just be ready.

I dont think you have spacers, if you do, they aren't very wide. 20mm in the front and 25mm in the back made worlds of difference. No one else will notice, but you sure will.

I personally love the stock exhaust note, who doesnt? But I went with GReddy EvoII (found slightly used on here for $725 vice 1400ish new)since it sounds the same but louder all the time with no drone.

Don't think of short term quick goals, that's how you get ricey. sure exhaust doesn't do much as far as hp, but if you love the note it makes and think you will continue to, go for it. But take into consideration Highway drone, WOT sound and COPS hearing certain noises....

If you have any questions, SEARCH them in every way you can even googling site:my350z.com whatyourlookingfor

That will keep you outta the crosshairs of vet forum guys/gals

Good luck!

Hey dude PPW is cool. One thing I don't like is the black roof, it doesn't look good with the car. You should paint/vinyl cover the pillars as well to black if you are keeping the roof black. That would look more proper. I also don't like the eyelids but some people love them. Then get staggered rims and drop it like its hot.

Hey thanks for the input(s), I love the sound of this exhaust! It keeps the "350z" note but takes it a few DB's lower if that makes nay sense??? it hits that swwet spot at about 3500-4000rpm and sounds really good. That Mod bug was in the car when I test drove it and bit me in the A$$! hahaha I will try to post a sound clip shortly. headlights shipped to 08052? talking about the eyelids? Should I paint the wheels or is that a big nono? I am quite the "perfectionist" so it wont be that quick spray them down and bolt them back on job.

I painted my stock RX8 rims black, and they looked good for a year or so. But eventually wear and tear is goin to chip them. Clear the crap out of them and don't skimp on prep work!!!

I actually like the "evil eyes" on your Z, the black vinyl is a nice touch too, over all looks good. DONT paint the stockers, sell them for a couple hundred and get a nice used set on here in our marketplace, theres tons of nice wheels like enkei RPF1 and what not for mid to low thousand price range, which will give good style and durability.

Usually people "powdercoat" the stock rims, I think they look ugly. Tyey probably do it so it makes them think its cool because they really can't afford real rims. Anyways, get a nice set of wheels.

A lot of people get the "fake/replica" wheels like rotas or varrstoen that imitate the looks of sexy wheels *cough volk cough*, but their build quality is teh suck!

And I think the guy above was asking you how much you would sell your whole headlights for, not the eyelids. 06+ projector headlights are better than the below model ones. Maybe he has older model headlights and wants you to sell him your headlights....

Beautiful car, I noticed that the front bumper is a different color from the rest of the car, did you notice that as well? or is it just the lighting?
