Default Soon to be Z owner asking opinions.

Hi my name is Andrew,

A little bit about me, I am a proud SRT4 owner (aren't we all) for the past 6 years. I am on my 2nd one, my first was taken from me by a red light runner. My 2nd and current is a stg3 red one. A little rough around the edges but not too shabby. Am actually selling that atm. attached a few of my better pics.

I am currently looking to buy a Z in the $17,000 range and have narrowed it down to 2 cars so far. Need help choosing.

2003 Track edition w/ 34k miles. Immaculate condition, older gentlemen owns it and told me it has barely even pulled it out in the rain. Always garage kept.

2007 w/ 59k miles 2007 350Z

Or if anyone in the new england area might have something I might be interested in I am open to recommendations. Like White, Black or Red and has to be manual.

Edit I didnt know there was a link-

HR engine is more powerful than the 03DE, but with that amount of miles I'd say go the 03 route

<--HR owner-wtf am I saying!?

Test drive both and see what you think. I would personally go with the 07 because of the HR motor but the DE is pretty awesome too, especially with only 34k miles

Like aforementioned, test drive both. Inquire about maintenance on each car and look at the overall integrity of each car. The '07, has a lot of upgrades from the '03, including a more powerful, refined engine.

I was kind of in the same position as you are currently in. It was between a 05 White 350z or a 07 white 350z. I test drove both and i went with the 07 with out thinking twice.
Just take them both for a test drive and see for yourslef.

Good Luck

34,000 miles is the winner.

i would prefer the 07 because of the motor but it sounds like the old gentleman babied his car, which means it could be in better condition than the other.

I went and test drove the 07, it is in decent condidtion, some scratches on the door panel some stains on the passenger seat. Someone had put a deposit on it already. But i could feel the difference has a smother powerband it seems like. I think i'm going with the 03 unless I find something else over the weekend as the gentlemen is on vacation till Monday. His craigslist ad expired so I don't have to worry about anyone else making offers.

I'm looking at G35's (coupe of course) as well anything negetive about them beside that don't look as badass as 350z's.

I'd keep my eye out for a better deal on an 07+. The 03 is a good find, but I really think you can find an HR with less than 35,000 miles for $17k.

Also, the scratches on the interior door panels and center console are extremely common, 99.9% of the cars you find will have them.

Also, it is very common for dealerships to advertise Z's as the wrong model. If the steering wheel doesn't have the cruise control or radio buttons, the car is a base model (which will also not include limited slip or traction control).

Smother is way better then smoother imo, unless its a girl you don't like. lol

I have been thinking about waiting and finding a newer Z, because if I buy the 03 i'm going to want 06 headlights and tail lights. It's just so hard to wait. I wish I had a few thousand more so I could get this red nismo near me.
