Default 350z good DD?

first post, anyways, i'm looking at buying a DD but i can't get myself to drive a civic.

so after test driving a couple of cars i have fallen in love the Z. i was going to finance a fully loaded 06 Z MT with navi for 18k, but after my friend called me with dealer auction prices i think i'm going to go with a 03-05 since i can pretty much pay cash for it.

but here are some questions.
first, i really don't care too much for the navi or the leather, but HID's and MT are a must. what package do HIDs come with? i know i can add after market hids, like DDM tuning, but i really want the projector lenses. are their any after market head lights available or will i be stuck buying OEM from the dealer or ebay.

second, i love the 06-08 factory 18" wheels and hate the 03-05 factory 18" wheels. i love to get a clean set of staggered 19's, but realistically with tire prices for the 19's and the car being a DD i'm probably going to end up with 18's. anyone have any suggestions for some staggered 18's? i'm really leaning towards a light colored car with black wheels, nothing fancy just clean. i'm hoping i can get away with a clean look without a drop.

any help or advice i greatly appreciated. haha, that smiley cracks me up.

You can DD 19's no problem. HID are 06 and above.

HIDs also come on the 03-05 Touring models (not base models), but the 06+ HIDs are better.

i like the simple look of the nismo LMGT4 and the oem grand touring wheels. not sure what your budget is but check out enkei rpf1, SSR, and advan wheels. all have wide array sizes and nice lips and faces.

18k for an 06 is too much, regardless of trim or miles.

I'll sell my grand touring wheels soon if you wish to buy them.

350z isn't a good DD, better off with a g35 imo.

yep, with used prices the way they are IMHO id have done a G35 as well if i were redoing it all now.

10k more than a 350z brand new was a no brainer.. NO.

But now? Yep.. pay 15k for one w like 50k miles on it and call it a day. OEM wheels are nicer ( GET the ones w the 19 inch wheels, they are Rays forged wheels..for a guy who doesnt wana dick w the car much, its a nice set of wheels stock)

But in terms of is it a good car?
Absolutely. Ive paid VERY little to maintain this car. Aside from religious synthetci oil changes at 3k miles.. and 91 octane from decent gas stations mostly... I repalced a clutch at 100k, rear subframe bushings at 90k, shocks to coilovers at 80k, and belts once at 70k.
Thats it.

The rest was icing.

I daily drive mine.. as evidence by my odometer reading......
