New z. Finally got ahold of one. PICS
I've been wanting one of these cars ever since they came out in 03. Finally got the funds to make it happen. Let me know what you all think.
It is an 03 with about 93k on it. I didn't think was too much for the condition it was in. They guy who had it before me took good care of it and never really ran it that hard. However it had 4 owners so I'm not able to say the same about the first two, really have no idea. This is my daily driver and I want it to last me another 4 years or so and hopefully still be a nice sports car by then if I respect it. Do you all think 93k was too many miles?
Personally I absolutely love it. This is my first 6 speed car and I look forward to driving it every day. The orange seats really sold me on it too.
As far as mods are concerned I want to upgrade the wheels first. I don't have 5g's RIGHT NOW to blow on a set of brand new 19'' volks, tires, camber kit, lowering springs, etc, so Im going to get a set of the 19'' rays that come on a lot of the g35's and get them powder coated a gunmetal silver...or black?
After that I will probably do a few simple bolt ons like 5 16'' plenum spacer, intake, high flow cats, and a tune. Wayyyy down the road id like to go forced induction but that's out of the question right now. Also, part of me thinks those simple bolt ons are pretty much a waste of money, but we'll see how much extra cash I have to work with after the wheels.

You want this to last 4 years and you are considering FI? From what ive heard is that these cars last exactly 200,000 miles and then self destruct.
I only say that because its my opinion ANY car will last more than 300-400k if you do oil changes and maintain them. So someone who knows more correct me if im wrong.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. I absolutely love the color combination of the Silverstone and the Orange seats. So much that mine is the same.
Great pics and it sounds like you've already been bitten by the mod bug. Good luck, man. I love tinkering with mine, but it keeps my wallet empty. A few suggestions would be read on here a lot before you spend money on a mod, and be patient and watch the vendor and private classified section for good deals.
Based on your post of planned mods, I can't wait to see pics as she transforms.
