Default 2nd Time Z owner

Hye guys. Just bought my 2nd Z a few weeks ago. 2008 Touring. The previous owner installed hotchkins stage 1 kit, JWT pop chargers and a stillen catback. Anyway iv really been in love with the car until I went to the track last night....Made me miss my STI haha

Conditions weren't too great- around 80 degrees and humid

Atco Raceway

R/T-.747
60'-2.12
330-5.957
1/8-9.054
MPH-80.22
1000-11.701
1/4-13.933
MPH-102.51

Let me know if its worth it to go catless and get the uprev tune at R/T tuning or just wait until I can afford the twins

Welcome to the forum, what sort of Z did you have before this?

Lol, the Z isn't quite the same as an STI. Maybe you just need to make a few tweeks to the Z and if those are the stock Bridgestone Potenza's, get some better tyres. Good tyres makes a huge different.

The tires are Eagle F1's and seemed to hookup pretty good for summer tires. I'm just disappointed with the trap speed more than anything. I was thinking the car was more of a 105-107 trapping car especially at a track like ATCO. hopefully going catless and getting a tune can get me closer to that trap.

Oh, ok, Eagle F1's are fine. Are they the aggressive directional older model, or the newer Asymmetric style? The Asymmetric ones have a stiffer sidewall.

Trap speed isn't everything, unless you're going to take it to the drags a fair bit, then can understand. Good luck with whichever way you go.
