If you have 39k MILES on it it should be under warranty for the powertrain. Idk if there is a time constraint though.
Grease marks, try Goo Gone or Goof Off.

I thought the warranty was 5 years, so this should be out of MFG warranty?
Early cars was more than grease streaks, its a bad felt pad that needs to be changed out to the newer version. $10 each, i did it myself.
Trans is a prob, new trans is the best fix.
Axle click is really nothing, just a click. Doesn't affect anything.

I have a 03 and had the tranny replaced a month after I got it back in 07. Fixed the grease streaks (pretty easy) and fixed the axle clicking but it's back now (don't bother)
welcome and enjoy that car

This grease streak you guys talk about, is it a straight line running verticle/in the midow of the window? My passenger side is starting to do that and its getting old cleaning it every time. Links?

Yeah powertrain is 5yrs or 60k miles which ever comes first from the start date of the warrenty. But just get an extended warrenty protection plan that covers everything. With a zero deduct if they are going to make you pay for a transmission. I bet you will probley come out on top and plus you can use the extended warrenty on anything you have concerns about.
