Default Back in the Nissan game -- Picture added

I've been a member here for a while but this is my first ever Z3x. Owned an S13 years back and was a Nissan tech for 5 years. Been in an S2000 for 2 years and now I'm getting my "itch" for something new. My old work has had an 09 base 370 for about 2 weeks and I've been trying to talk myself out of it. Well right before TS Lee hit, I realized I had a leaky rain guard/gutter after replacing my soft top and that was the last straw. Picked up the phone and told them to have the paper work ready when I arrived this afternoon. Got a nice deal on it and I couldn't bring it upon myself to turn it down. I could turn a profit if I sold so I'm not sure how long I'll have it but that'll all depend on how the car and I "bond". The lack of LSD is discouraging as it will see auto-x and light track duty but the OEM unit is a bit....well....incapable.

Excuse the rant

Nice to be "back".

Yeah, for the most part it's been running fine. It needs a little maintenance, something I haven't had time for the last two years or so. But I should catch up this fall.

I did butt heads with Consult II last week. I may give you a call to get you opinion on something.

Upgrade the diff on that base and you'll be ready for autoX. Install a oil cooler and you'll be ready for the track. In case you're interested, I just happen to have one up for sale... CLICKY

BTW - was that the black 370Z that was out on the lot last week that you bought?

I think we all slack on maintenance during the summer months here. Can't fault you for that.

What was the problem? I know Consult II can be a bit inept at times.

I've started looking at differentials already. I'm really trying not to do a whole lot but I think a diff is unavoidable. I recall people having issues with oil temps so I'll take a gander at your cooler (nice sales plug, btw ).

Yes, they had it on their lot about 3 weeks, I imagine. I saw it every day coming home and I went so far as to stop and look at it about 2 weeks ago. What I didn't notice is that is has Nismo exhast. Whether or not it is axle-back or cat-back, I can't be certain but I brought it to work to put on the lift.

Here is a "better" picture from this morning:

Brett looks like the one I saw there. Very nice and clean.

Consult II problem too difficult to describe, I'll have to give you a call one evening.

I enjoy having 60% more torque but I fear I will have to accept a loss in the handling dept. Probably the wrong forum to say such a travesty but the S2000 handled like a dream. It is my favorite "drivers" car ,in stock form, thus far and this is my 9th or so car.

Update - Full Nismo cat-back. Really like the sound at WOT.
