Default First Car, First Z

Hey. So, I was out looking for a new car and decided to settle on a Z. I'm so glad I did because I'm loving every minute of it. Prior to settling down I was looking at Camaros/Mustangs and had actually put down a deposit for a Camaro (muscle-haters, don't hate), but I'm glad that deal didn't go through.

So, I picked up my Z less than a month ago. It's an 08 Touring with about 19k miles. Originally all stock. Car was literally in perfect condition in/out (except with a few minor scratches on the back but I've removed that since) and it was a leased car.

So far, mods installed are:

* Greddy RS Exhaust (I've left the silencers in.. it's loud enough for me)
* Injen Dual Intake (being put on later today)
* Perrin Shorty Antenna
* Fit in bumper plugs in the front license plate holes
* Escort Qi45

My next steps are to add on an engine damper, transmission cooler, possibly a bbk and have it tuned - but that'll be in a little while. The MPG isn't that good, and my insurance is a well, - but it's well worth it for the Z!

This is my first owned car. I was driving a beamer before this for a few months. I'm in love with my car, her name is Natalie :].

An engine damper is a waste of money and a transmission cooler...

Why did you get an auto? Daily driver?

Nice grab anyway.

Good looking car. Throw a TransGo valve body in there and you'll love it even more.

It is my daily car and my only car here, I felt as an auto would better suit my need.

Just got my injen intakes installed! My pockets are empty now - so any future mods will have to wait. Before anything else I do want a BBK, but oh the cost

BumperPlugs.com - It was a bit pricy (32.90 including shipping) but I think it looks great. There are a few DIY instructions here for under $10 - Get some plugs from Home Depot, paint over and push them in, but I think that the quality on these were quite good.

Instead of using a drill to enlarge the hole of the screws in the front bumper, I used a screwdriver with interchangeable sizes instead. Just kept going up by sizes until I felt like the plugs would be a snug fit, and indeed they were.

That price is quite pricy for two plugs, were they paint matched? Or is it am off shaded white?

I believe its paint matched. On their website, they listed "White Pearl" as an optional color for Z's. In Japan, Pikes Peak White is White Pearl.

I can take a better picture to show you but it's been raining out so a good picture is hard to get. Although it was pricy it sure looks a hell lot better than my front license plate bracket! However, when I took off the bracket there were minor surface scratches. I used some TurtleWax Scratch/Swirl remover and they came off easily. Great stuff!
