I have been carless for the past 3 months or so when my 240sx broke down. and have been searching for a Z for quite some time now. i finally settled on this one. it was a good deal in my eyes. bought it for 10800, asking price was 13490. has some cosmetic damage, but nothing major. she will be my daily driver for now.
she is an 03 touring edition with 68000 miles.



my first focus will be to get an alarm system, for some reason whenever i lock the car i am still able to open my driver side door, the alarm will sound, but my door does not lock. any ideas? this isnt the only reason i will get the alarm system, but is part of the reason.
also the only other thing i am having trouble with is the passenger side window, when i roll it up, the window goes all the up, then drops mechanically rolls back down half way. any ideas on that one? the way i have been keeping it up is rolling it all the way up and locking it in place with the lock button.

getting that fixed will be my main focus for right now.
then i will do some car audio stuff.
then i will do some exhaust work, because the exhaust right now is to quiet.. then i will get some rims and lower her =)

Not sure what to tell you about the alarm but as for the window, just open the door panel and perform the window reset. I had the same problem with mine when I first got it, did the reset, and now it's good as new.

thanks everyone, and yes i did take all the stuff into account when buying her, which is why i got her 3000+ bucks off. the window i fixed last night so it stays up now and does everything its supposed to. the lock i am going to take the door panel off in the next few days when i go to change the speakers. (getting polk components for the front and polk coax for the rear. plus 1 or 2 alpine type R 10's) fairly soon i will be probably getting the viper 5901 or maybe 5701. idk which one yet.
as for the power upgrade, it is amazing. its my favorite car. has been since the first year it came out. so being able to actually afford one is really awesome.

if the door doesn't lock, it might be the door lock actuator... you'd have to access door panel and part should be underneath the "door pull/push pin?****" if it has one.. i have that problem on my accord.. btw.. your car looks sweet, i've been looking at the z.. just registered to reply.. i'll probably stalk people on this forum until i buy one.. !
