Picked up a 2005 350zr on Tuesday
I've been browsing this forum for a couple of months, getting info on Z's. What to look for when purchasing, mod options etc.
Hopefully I uploaded the picture correctly.
I'm not a fan of the TSW 20" wheels that the car came with. I may guage interest and sell them if there is any. Maybe I will grab some Varrstoens.
In the mean time I'd like to lower it with springs. Stillen is pretty close to my office I will give them a call today.
Should I get the Tein H-techs?

welcome!
and thank you for researching and using the search button to find out info on the Z instead of posting a million threads about what to do like other members. now if everyone else interested in the Z could be like you, a perfect Z world this would be.
drop the 20's. if you're not going to track the Z, I would choose any style oem wheel. imo they look the best.

i dont think they look terrible. I mean its a stock car. id leave em for now and focus on other aspects of the car. You will incerase your enjoyment of the car more that way. Springs on stock shocks is not a super balanced way to sopend the $ when youre not doing the work yourself. Youre guaranteed to pay twice at that rate. Save up a grand and buy basic coilovers.. i wouldnt say Teins tho.. Stance is pretty aggressive for a good coilover.
Check all the front end suspension bushings, etc etc.. read some forum posts etc.. you can always ditch the TSWs later.

Thanks for the welcomes, kudos, and recommendations. I am not sure what I am going to do with this car yet. I had a 2004 S2k before it got rear-ended buy a SUV. Speaking of SUV's, I've been driving my Expedition around for a few months and the gas drove me crazy. I was happy to find a very clean pretty low mile Z. I have the funds to get coil overs right now just not sure I want to. I guess I need to continue reading and researching.
The TSW's aren't very attractive plus I am sure each one of them weighs as much as the car itself. I am thinking some decent but not super high-end 19's will make me happy.
I guess I will run over to the SoCal forum and see what is for sale here locally. Maybe I will get a reco on a local shop.
Thanks again guys..
