I have couple of questions about overall performance of the car and drag racing.

I went to the track yesterday for the first time and my best time of the night was 14.2 and is that ok for a 350z also i am new to drag racing and still learning.

i wanted to ask what tire pressure should i run i am located in Sacramento, California and i am running on 275/35/18 both front and back.

i also wanted to ask what other factors should i count into drag racing to get quicker because i am new to it.

 

Well there are diffent 350z's what year and mods that would help greatly 07-08 have been know to run 13's flat with stock tires stock everything but the olders ones are slower

60 foot : 2.204
330 foot : 6.055 @ 0.000 mph
1/8 mile : 9.230 @ 78.083 mph
1000 foot : 11.971 @ 0.000 mph
1/4 mile : 14.266 @ 97.591 mph

 

Sacramento raceway is a fast track btw so you'd probably be slower at a different track.

 

Welcome. 14.2 seconds is fine for first time out. There are lots of racing suggestions in the drag racing forum. Helpful hints are OK but nothing beats practice.

Original models are also lighter and have more torque, so it doesn't really make much difference. Probably equates to roughly the same.

 

i dont think so when i was stock i ran against many de and revups with intakes and exhaust they couldent hold me always wont buy about 2 cars
