New Z owner thanks in part to all here ...
Hi all,
Newly signed up to the forum after having lurked for a while leading up to a used Z purchase. Thanks to all the good, well-organized information I narrowed down my second (fun) car purchase to a late model 350Z, which ended up being a one-owner 2006 black/black leather 6MT Touring model with 50K miles. It has a Veilside Version III nose and spoiler, as well as a carbon fiber hood (not sure whose) that the original owner installed. Nose and hood are nice, but the spoiler is just too much for the car ... in my slightly older and more humble opinion. So removing that and replacing with something a little more tame, as well as replacing the factory Bose stereo with a Clarion CX501 are in the immediate works ...
Thanks for all the good information and I'm sure more questions will be forthcoming!

Thanks all - the one and only pic I currently have is from my phone when it was still sitting on the lot. Better view of the nose/hood than the tail, but you get the idea ...

Thanks guys - I'll post some more/better pics this week or weekend hopefully. Spoiler definitely has to go and I'm thinking the nose may have to go back to stock or something less radical. It only has 2 or 3" of clearance and even being super careful it bottoms out on too many things.
This weekend's upgrade of the stereo went well - replaced the OEM Bose (non-Sat) head unit with a Clarion CX501 and also opted for the PAC-NISROEM interface (which corrects the signal output to the OEM amp), the Metra Axxess steering wheel audio control interface and threw in a Sirius SCC1 sat processor while I was at it. The CX501 is awesome for the money and having a higher output than the OEM, with the PAC interface the audio in the car sounds 1000 times better; plus the Bluetooth phone function, iPod and SAT radio control and iTunes tagging bring the car right up to current spec, amenity-wise. Ordered the head unit from Crutchfield and the remainder from whoever had the best prices, followed the respective directions/wiring diagrams and got everything installed in part of a day; and it worked perfectly the first time everything was hooked up. The biggest frustration as others have said was getting the dash put back together with all of the extra boxes and harnesses inside now - had to get creative with the placement. All in all a tremendous upgrade for not too much money.
