Default New(b) Z owner

Been creeping on this site for a few months now, figured now that I have gone and bought a Z I should at least register.

It's certainly a project, but one I look forward to dealing with.

Super new to modding, but we all have to start somewhere, I'm just kinda going to throw money at it and see what happens :P

Nice Z! Noticed your running the Greddy kit. :thumb up: As for modding, check and make sure the tune is good. If this is on a stock motor, invest in a built motor down the road because you never know when it's going to give. Good luck!

It is on a stock motor. I probably won't be pushing it past the hp it currently has now (405 whp) but I'm taking it to get tuned again in the next few weeks.

I bought it with the Twin already in it as well as the intake and exhaust. Certainly a risk, but the person I had look it over told me that "it's not junk for sure", so I went and pulled the trigger on it.

Already put new Nitto's on it and going to get the rims redone with a powder coat of black. The red ring just isn't doing it for me.

I'll post pictures later this month, but this is either a $16K gift or a $16K mistake. I'm hoping for the former.

Welcome!
I agree on the stock motor/turbo fear.
Take it easy.
Just from the pics, the Greddy install looks good.
Your plan to check it out/tune is smart.

You are right, the RED trim on the wheels has to go.
Especially next to the burnt orange seats!

Engine itself only has 25K miles on it. But I'm not going to risk anything. Currently running 10 PSI; that may change after a tuning in 2 weeks.

Red rims are ****ing out. Probably going with a powder black or a chrome, have not decided yet. I do like the black on black look thought, so thats the one im rooting for so far.

And yea, those burnt orange seats are sick. :P

Put it on the Dyno today.

This GreddyKit puts out a surprising 446 whp.

Looks like I will need new fuel injectors as the fuel mix gets a little too lean at the end.

'Rah.

UpRev installed. New Dyno numbers.

And to answer the question about "flywheel", James told me that it is indeed a wheel hp number, it's just jacked up because the machine is from NZ.
