Default Korey / 07 San Marino Blue Z / Jax FL

Whats up guys. New to your forum, just picked up a 07 San Marino but touring edition. Traded in my 07 sentry se-r spec v for this car. I've browsed your forums for some time and figured it was time to register. I was active on allsentra.com when I owned that car. I don't have too much intention on doing any FI for some time as I'm getting married in a few months. Picking up the NISMO CAI at the end of this month ( any input on these ??). After this I want to do a few visual mods, lip, sides, clear side marker etc. Well here's a few pics.

Do you suggest keeping them and not switching to the NISMO??

Well I have the stock Bose sound system and I have no problem with it. It's weird because I kind of thought it was better, but I can't really be sure hah. All I know is it's not worse

Welcome!
Great color, don't see many San Marino's around.
IMO,the Nismo CAI's are very nice.In fact,I have my share
of Nismo mods(exhaust, cam kit)on my Z.The CAI is very
expensive compared to others on the market. The performance
is no better than others at over twice the price. So,if you
have got the bucks and want to brag that you have Nismo
intakes(they do look great!),go for it!
A Mine's lip would look great on your Z.

To be honest name isn't a big deal to me. As I'm new to the z scene I haven't had much of a chance to find what's good and what's not. Do you mind providing a few brands that make the same power? NISMO says it picks up 10 hp and 8 ft-lb so if another brand is cheaper and makes the same I'm okay with that lol.

I didn't realize the color was only made in 07 until I went to a met and a bunch of z guys were there. One of the guys had one and said the same thing so that made me feel good too hah

CAI for the 07/08 will barley give you any power gains. Just the noise. The dual stock intakes are very good in terms of performance. Save the money for some hfc/tp, y-pipe, catback!

Thanks for the input I'll check them out for sure. Do they have the same power results? Also, whats your opinion on the intakes really not making too much power? I'd be content with 10 HP and 8 ft-lb. although is this wheel power or just power gains?

Imo, get the Motordyne Shockwave))) TDX2 exhausts + Motordyne test pipes then get a retune. Those will yield the most gains (performance / sound) for NA for simple mods. I've read in many threads that the HR intake mods are mostly for sound, not so much performance improvements, as the stock HR intakes are already pretty efficient. Think about it, most cars only have 1 intake, HR has 2. Also for intake mods, you are paying double since there's 2 intakes (~$400). You might as well just save up more and get yourself exhausts since that's the restricting factor.
