Default What can i get?

My mother gave me 10k to buy a car for my 18th birthday. So i was thinking about getting a 350z i check out the insurance for me and its only 100 bucks per month so not that bad. Also if i ever need a 4 door car to use my can always my moms versa. Anyway im asking you guys, I live in Washington and im looking to get the best 350z under my budget. I could care less about what year it is just the lowest mileage. So i was thinking about flying to Texas to find one there since cars are cheaper there then in Washinton. So what are your thoughts? thanks

you can afford an 03 with high mileage. I dunno about you, but I can't own a Z that's older than 07 lol. I'd recommend finishing college, getting a decent job, and buying a newer year Z. Unless you really desperate for one, u can settle for an 03.

My advice is to keep test driving different vehicles until you can be sure.
"Fly to Texas?" . . . . you will find Gems and Disappointments no matter where you look.
Good luck.

high mileage as in like 70k+ or maybe even up to 100k

S2000 is reliable. Apples vs oranges tho. If I were you, I'd just save up, drive a beater car so when you do graduate n make good $, u can jump into a nice ride. Getting a Z at your age with only 10k to dispose of seems very desperate. You'd have no $ left over for mods or to do anything fun to the car.

I'd either look for something besides a Z, or take that $10k and use it as a down payment on a moderate mileage 07-08 Z. Finding a Z for $10k is going to mean you'll get a high mileage car OR a car with problems. Or both.

This. This is pretty much what I did. Parents got me a car when I was 18. I drove it all throughout college and until I got a good salaried full time job, then I sold my old car and used it's resale value as down payment, which was 10k. Financed the rest on my 07 Z. Works great too for building credit as you'll need it later on in life if you want to buy a home. But honestly, the Z is expensive. Mods, gas, picking up hookers and everything. If you don't got disposable income, you won't be able to afford to do anything fun or get nice mods. You'll become a typical ricer w/ knock off parts and a fart can replica exhaust. (:
