Default New and proud owner of 2008 Touring 350Z

First I want to thank everyone on this forum for being so awesome and knowledgeable. I appreciate all that this site does to educate and share information that people would be otherwise without.
I love my new Z.

It is a A/T(unfortuneately), all stock and I plan on making some serious mods. As of right now the only thing I can afford to do is drive, wax, clean and fill up the gas tank, but that is soon going to change when I get this new job with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network.

The eyes and heads turning is such a good feeling when you know it's all because of the car you drive, and especially when people notice the hard work of keeping a black car clean in Connecticut. If anyone has any questions at all I love to talk and chat so feel free to ask away.

Also, I would love if you all would give me your top 5 favorite mods that you have seen done to either your Z or someone else's. Knowledge is power and I want to know it all. I have looked at the other threads about mods, but would still love if some people would give me their:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.

Thanks so much everyone for your support and time, and I cannot wait to get to know you all and have myself and my Z grow together with all of you.

My email is packerscjg@gmail.com and my name is CJ.

HMU Folks,
Have a good day!

CJ

EDIT: Here are the photos guys! Enjoy! Just did a little wax job the day before but it gets pretty dusty up in CT. Feedback is appreciated!

Welcome!

Keep on searching because you'll find most, if not, all of your answers. Mods will differ from person to person and model years too. It depends on if you want to go just for looks or performance, or both. I myself like aesthetic mods more than performance mods. The Z already has ample power for the street IMO. Here's my top 5 list for my chrome silver 2003...

1. oem 06+ headlights and oem jdm LED tail lights
2. LED front reflectors and side emblems, and LED interior mood lighting
3. blacked out headliner and vanity mirrors
4. rear wiper delete
5. vinyl wrapped interior

Keep it clean and happy modding.

Congrats and welcome! You'll love owning your Z, by far the most rewarding car I've ever owned and will continue to own. Once a Z owner, always a Z owner!

1. Intake & Exhaust.. gotta open up that VQ sound!
2. Coilovers.. makes the handling even better and depending on which ones you get, aren't really that uncomfortable. I swear my Powered By Max coilovers are more comfy than my old lowering springs.
3. New head unit

those are my 3 favorite daily driver mods, I'm not going to keep going because then I'll start going into unpractical crap

I suggest you drive that black Z for awhile.
Enjoy it.Get to know it.
As a example of how varied opinions are on "what to mod" on a Z,just note the first two posts. One is more on the performance end.The other is all appearance.
Thats just the way it is.
It sounds as though you do not have a ton of bucks to spend.Maybe, just not yet...
Also, maybe you are not much of a DIY guy.I mean not comfortable bolting on an exhaust system etc. So,not a problem, you just get it done!
My approach is to make your car "yours".Pretty soon its gonna look like another black Z.
You want to individualize your car.Post some pics.Do you like those OEM wheels?
Whats the condition of your tires? If you have the funds,I'd get some aftermarket wheels.
Go to 19's.Whats your style?New rims will give your car a new look.
You will be off to the races. If you are into design, maybe some carbon fiber (CF) exterior pieces to go with that black car.A no brainer are set of CAI's.You will sound better.
Are you a guy that wants loud or,just aggressive?A great bolt on exhaust system is a Nismo. Not too loud.If you are starting to want more, you will hear alot of stuff about coil
overs, lowering your car.Be cautious about this.Your ride will be firmer. Also, where do you drive? You have speed bumps, steep driveways etc.,a lowered car may be a problem for everyday driving. If you like the looks of being low, body add ons can accomplish this.
Having a AT car has many benifits.Pretty much trouble free.Less hassle if you do much stop&go city driving.Does not sound as though you are a track guy...

Have fun!

Also, as I put new mods on I will try to upload video and sound clips for ie. exhaust, intake, wheels, tires, cosmetic upgrades, and performance parts. Thanks again for the feedback...Keep em comin!
