Almost a done deal.
It's almost a done deal with getting my new car, but wanted to post up here to get some opinions on it.
The car:
2005 Silver Base model
39,000 miles
6 Speed
Clean Carfax
Price: $12,600
Went out to look at it today and it drove excellent. Shifts were smooth, clutch felt good, Nothing felt out of place at all. My father was a mechanic for 20+ years so I've been around cars all my life and wanted a 300zx since I was about 8 years old. Finally got the money to afford one and the 300s are too old so I wanted a 350.
The bad:
There is a small paint chip in on the back bumper that will eaisly cover up with some touch up paint. One of the fins on the front grill is cracked. It does need 2 new front tires, rears are good and it recently had an alignment done.
For $12,600 I don't think I can pass it up. I already put down a deposit and plan on picking her up next week. KBB on the car in Good condition where I think it falls is almost $16,000.

Edit: as for the car needing front tires I have 4 newish 225/45/R18s sitting in my garage. Would that be a suitable tire size to throw on all 4 wheels and just buy new wheels? I play on using the old wheels for snow tires when they are needed again.

you can not put a 18" diameter tire on a 17" diameter wheel.. sorry
hmmmm. if you're trying to figure out how to cut corners now this
purchase will surely bite you in the ***. buy the car and get back
to us. if you're looking for validation...

You're welcome
Thanks
Cut corners how? I simply asked if this was a car worth the price.
I didn't phrase that properly. What I ment was I will buy new 18" wheels and then put the tires on those wheels. I was curious as to if the width would be sufficient for all 4 tires as the stock I believe are wider.
Thanks

This appears to be a fair price for your area. Some parts of the country this car would sell for less. But hey,you like it...whats a grand or so?
Depending on the cash you have, new wheels&tire would be great. Those 17's on your car
are really dated.Yep,use e'm for winter tires(as was already mentioned, those 18's in you
have won't fit 17" wheels). They would be ok for the fronts if you had 18's.
I'd look for a set of 19" wheels &tires.Trust me,you will not believe how these will improve
the looks and drive of your new car.
Just spend the dough you think you saved on those new wheels!
