Smile Need help with a question please??

I have a 2008 350z touring with 23k miles. I just bought it when it had 21000. I am due for the first oil change and can't decide if I should use synthetic or reg oil?? I am sure I need the 5w30 but what is the best you should use? I keep getting different answers and I want to keep my car running GOOD!! I also need to get a K&N filter too..

Squeaking brakes

instead of

Need help immediately

or

If you don't help right away I will die!

5w30 is what it call for, and everyday driving you can't go wrong with it. Dinno vs synth oil , research and find out what you believe. I run Amsoil Synthetic in mine.

Mobil1 Synthetic is what I'm using \_(o.O)_/ Do your homework and make your decisions based on what you have found to be better for the car. Search is your friend.

Welcome to the forum

I would first suggest you read this thread before doing anything else:

https://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-n...questions.html

Within that thread this topic is pretty well explained:

https://my350z.com/forum/2691037-post23.html

You can also do a search for synthetic oil and literally see hundreds of threads on the topic.

dont run royal purple in anything but a race engine.. it has ZERO detergents in it and will leave your engine internals looking like hell..
just cuz it sounds fancy and costs more doesnt make it better..

I am simply spreading the word.

Beauase racecar.

Tell ya what...
Just use 5w30.I know alot of guys run Mobil 1 and so on.
I've used semi-synthetic(Valvoline)since my 03 Touring was new.
Most times,a Nissan filter.At 78k miles,uses no oil between 5-6k
oil changes.Runs like new.
I use the same oil in my other vehicles.Had a Suburban with 300k miles.
Buy &use what you please if it makes you "feel good".

This thread hurts my head. The choice of title subject is terrible. OP, do some reading before asking such a mundane question that's been asked a million times. Read the manual, too.
