Default New from Texas

*Edit* Got around to adding more pictures, Hope you like it.

Hey guys new to the forum but not forums in general I usually troll around them all day at work. I just picked up a 2006 Grand Touring Z down in Houston Texas. I've wanted one for about 4 years but never found the right deal on one.

Car has 40k on the clock and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Hope to see you guys around.

I really wanted a Nismo but I haven't been able to find one for a price I can live with so now I'm just going to turn this one, into one. Any good links on the body kit and a place where I can start out?

Thanks

Welcome! Very nice Z, love the color and those oem rims

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a Nismo rather than trying to create one? I also hate the idea of "wanna be" cars. IMO making a non-Nismo model Z look like a Nismo is a wanna be car=. Not hating, that's just my 2 cents. It's your car, do what you want to it

Welcome and congrats, your car looks great.

Yeah, if you really want a nismo it would be easier to buy one than remake one (plus, no matter what, it will never be a true nismo). However, you can make your own creation that can look just as good provided you do your due diligence. Good luck.

Guess I should have been a tad more specific. I don't want it to be an exact nismo. Just use that as a base idea on what I'd like to do. Body kit, wing, ect.. I already have a few body kits that I like that are different. Car already has a nice suspension and Brembo's so I don't need any help there. The wing is the most befuddling thing to me. I can't seem to find one I like other then the stock Nismo wing.

I would have to disagree there. The only thing those wheels need is spacers.

Oh ok, I got ya now. Glad there's not going to be another Nismo wanna be out there! . And I agree with you on the wing thing, there are ALOT of ugly wings out there...the Nismo wing is the only one I've seen (on a Z) that I can say I love.

Hey car looks great and no doubt you’ve been enjoying it immensely. Now cut that lawn and finish trimming up that hedge. Also welcome to the forum, free nagging always available.

LOL As soon as I posted the picture I thought someone might say something (I know I would)

LOVE the car right now. I used to own a Porsche Boxster Sport and this car even with half the price tag is just so much more car. I love it.

Good to know I have a questions about that by the way. I really like them but are they a limited factory wheel or something? I've only seen them on a few Z's and I was curious about that.

Nice car and welcome, i also agree with everyone the stock rims look great. I just recently got mine as well and it came with aftermarket rims but much rather had preferred stock. Looks sexy as is.
