my 04 touring - harrisburg, pa
140,000mi 1 owner. Super Black. Got it for $7500. Had Nismo catback and Nismo short ram intake. Car drives and feels like it was never beat. Mostly highway miles I'm assuming since the hood and front bumper are riddled with stone chips. I've had it for 3 months now and got some wheels and suspension components.
Current Mods:
Carbon Creations 07-08 Carbon Fiber HR Style Hood
Berk HFCs
Kinetix SSV Intake Manifold
Nismo v2 replica front lip
Nismo S-Tune catback
Nismo short ram intake
Tein Street Basis coilovers w/ modified rear perch
JMK Eccentric Lockouts
Wicked Tuning Camber Links
Wicked Tuning Traction Links
SPL Front Upper Control Arms
Hotchkis Swaybars w/ SPL endlinks
Axis Super Penta (orange pinstrip) 20x10.5-285/30/20 / 20x9.5-255/35/20
Bankroll is now being trimmed for the following:
SPL midlinks
Looking for a set of used OEM Brembos otherwise 300zx front caliper swap with 13" cobra rotors
Either a Dynosty built short block or parts mashup built by a local guy
VORTECH T-Trim Tuner Kit
Needed parts for GTM pully mod and a 2.87
Deatchwerks 880cc injectors
Deatchwerks 300w fuel pump
CJM Stage 1 fuel return system
Mishimoto Radiator
Generic summit racing oil cooler
ARK Grip v2 exhaust
Dual PLX widebands
Powerlabs oil pan spacer for blower oil return system
Prosport multi port oil filter adapter for oil temp and a secondary pressure sensor
All tuned with UpRev Osirus
Bodywork to come after I learn how to drive a ~500whp 350z
Nismo v3 front bumper (oem urethane)

Chargespeed Bottomline side lips
Chargespeed Bottomline rear diffusers
Repaint

Thanks again! Cass007, I'd be down for that. I work over the road, so I dont get much free time. But I surely will keep this on my things to do list for summer time! Tilleys99 says he knows who you are. He has a Z as well. Be cool to rock it at some point. Cheers.

Welcome to the forum, not a bad price with the mods on it aswell. Mile's are irrelevant i guess if you plan on doing some work to it as internals are probably on the cards aswell.
Dreams are free..... Quite frankly with the 350's continuously getting cheaper for someone with decent cash flow it's becoming a lot easier to bankroll a 500hp build.

Well its something Ive always wanted to do and now only recently make enough money in a year to afford it. Appreciate the encouragement. But yeah the 370z has become the new big spender project car. The 350z is a dime a dozen. But thats ok cause they will always be a cool car.

Added nismo v2 replica lip on Sunday. Here's a pic. Took some heatgun stretching and whatnot to fit it. Holdover till the real body work starts. $65 urethane off craigslist.

stage 1 (suspension) coming to a close. Last batch of parts ordered. I guess I should be cool and start a build thread. Installed wicked tuning traction links (ebay calls them toe arms). Immediate elimination of wheel hop. The whole car feels much tighter during hard acceleration. It even chirps 3rd now. I think next we'll do the BERK cats, PLX Widebands, and the Osirus Tuner kit. Its gonna be interesting screwing around with the cars Brain. Looking foward to VDC and WOT limits disabled and leaning out the rich spots in the stock fuel map. Fun fun.

Youre right and I found out the hard way. I still like the look but yes they are heavy. Ive been trying to find a set of used weds kranze erm in 19". Im in love with that wheel and 3pc design means I can make it look how I want. These axis wheels are good for a hold over. For track it will be w/ slicks tho. So street wheel is not that important to me at the moment. I would rather spent money on performance and have "ok" wheels initially. With a 550hp build wheel weight isnt going to make a huge difference anyway. Thanks for your input.

Well we tried to fix the rear alignment this passed weekend and did ok. Ive come to learn that adjustable traction links and camber arms are not enough to properly correct toe and camber in the rear. You can fix toe but at the cost of camber or vice versa. We used a laser level (commonly used for framing and hanging drywall) which is accurate to about 1/16th to 1/8th inch. We drew reference marks in the floor to make sure both sides would get the same adjustment. Anyway, we came in the problem that pushing the toe and camber back to spec would cause binding to the point where you could adjust the arms anymore and still not have close to spec. We figured the binding comes from the stock midlink not being adjustable. With the eccentric bolt for the midlink turned all the way in it still wasnt enough. So it looks like Ill be picking up the SPL midlinks in order to get true toe adjustment. It looks to me that if you make one or 2 sets of links adjustable that they all have to be adjustable otherwise one portion of the geometry will bind. So now toe is close to spec and camber is around -1.5 > -2 degrees. Onces the SPL midlinks come and I can decern wether or not the Street Basis coils will work with the SPL spring bucket or not than I can get the rear alignment again. I still havent found a fender roller though and only have about a 1/16th gap on the factory fender edge and the tire at full compression so we're good for now beheh. Till next update. Seeyah.
