Default New to the forum, got a question before i make a purchase

Well first of all i currently have an RX8. Awesome car but can be quite the pain in the ***. Drove the buddies porsche 911 the other week when i painted it and decided i shoulda gone with what i really wanted and got a Z to begin with. I've seen lots of things on here for Z's and how they have slight changes and bugs worked out. My question is do you think an 03 would be alright, its got 36k on it and its a track model. they want less than 14000 for it. only problem is it is read. most everything i see has 80k on it and everyone wants 15 grand for it. i also found a yellow 05 that i'm guessing is an enthusiast because it has traction control but no leather and they want 12,600 for it with 70k and then one locally is the exact same as the yellow with 10k less for 17,000 which i think is too damn much. what do you guys think?

Eugh to yellow (No offense to UY's out there) and your post is kind of confusing with all the models and pricing.
03 Track 36,000mi: >14K - Red
05 Enthus. 70,000mi: 12.6K - Yellow
05 for 17K is way too much.

Its odd that they would sell a Track for that low. No matter how many miles, especially with low miles. Somethings up with that. Red is a far better color in my opinion for the Zs. However, 12.6k for a 70000mi Enthus is a good price. Thats what I would go with if it wasnt yellow.. (If you choose that make sure to drive the price down a bit, at least to an even 12K)

PS If you have some magical way to guarantee theres nothing wrong with the Track, get that ish

when I went to buy my 03 performance with 65k miles a little over a year ago final price was 12k out the door cash with no trade inn. sticker price on the car was 17,999, the price they have on the window is over inflated for stupid people that are uninformed and think $1,000 off is a deal or bargain. Inspect the car get a book value present the dealer/owner with your findings and why you will only be paying a certain price for a car. If something is broken subtract cost to replace that part and bring evidence, if they wont give you the price you want to pay walk away! there will always be another car that will come up in your price range. If the price is substantially lower then what others are going for it is probably a salvaged title.

I'm not a huge fan of yellow myself, but as a professional painter its a little easier then black and red to take care of. i gotta call tomorrow for the red track edition to see if they will throw me a carfax but a buddy of mine just picked one up literally right down the street from my house for 16k and its only got 19k miles on it. Its an 03 as well and i wish i would of seen it first its a brickyard and i love that color. thanks for the input from most of you.

I vote the track but make sure it's really a track. Check for the bronze brembos. That's the quickest tell tale sign. A lot of used car dealers list 350z's as tracks to try and pull a fast one on potential buyers. F***ing used car dealers!

Personally,I hate yellow unless its a race car.
Whats wrong with red(read?).The Z red is great.Like
a Ferrrari red.I'd go with the 03 Track.FYI,don't know what the big deal
is about a Track, the only difference from the other 03 models(base/enthusiast&
Touring)was the Brembos&wheels.

A 2003 with 36000 miles is a winner. Much smarter
than, say, a 2007 with 110000 miles. Buy by miles not model year.

All the 2005 Ultra Yellow Z's are not anniversary editions. Ultra Yellow was the extra cost color for 2005 and was available on all models. The Anniversary with 6 speed was a rev up and could be had in red, black, silverstone and yellow. The automatic anniversary editions had the DE motors.

I'll clarify A majority of yellows are 05 Anniversary editions.

My wording was off; any color '03 > yellow Z
