Default New Texas Owner

Hey guys/gals

Proud new owner of a 2006 enthusiast with 34k. Dreamed of owning one of these cars ever since they started in 03. LOVE IT! Every time I get in and start the car up I grin from ear to ear. Definitely a beautiful machine she is.

Only thing I have done to her is window tint and installed the K&N Typhoon CIA " Had a minor problem with that you can see in pic" and replace the stock speakers. Next would be replacing the stock radio. Then I am satisfied.

Great to be a part of a Z community!

Ok, so this is not lining up I even doubled checked to make sure auto direct sent me the right part model for my car, and it says for 03 -06 350z. Wondering if any of you all had this issue? and I know some of you all probably just say, " see, should have just went with a K&N drop in and call it a day" lol

You shoulda just gone with.... nah im kidding. Welcome man. Looks like a clean Z! As for the intake, its probably just with the couplers. If you loosen up the 2 braces by the couplers and try to tighten it up with the throttle body I'm guessing that might get it to line up a bit. Does it wobble alot when your idling? if not then i wouldn't worry about it really.

Yea, I tried all that. Its really secure and hardly has any movement. Just one of those things that bugs me when I don't have something 100% installed correctly

Welcome!
Silverstone is a great color(I have one!).
In regards to your intake, its pretty easy for us to give advice and
not be there looking at the part. You probably have tried everything
to get those holes lined up...?Sometimes just loosening ALL the clamps and
twisting the Z tube will work.I had a similar problem with a intake.
The pipe seemed too long. All it needed was to twist at the right degree.
Maybe not...?
Would removing the tube and trimming it a bit help?
On second thought,I'm running a Berk Z tube with a Popcharger.
The Z Tube does not have that small brace as used on the OEM tube.
There is NO brace. It works fine!
I'd just forget it and make sure your clamps are tight.

Thanks JCITY
Yep, Tried everything. But good to know that you have one that's working fine with out the bracket.

When I took my 1st look at the car, was love at 1st site. Loved the color. Forgot to mention I am in a 2 plate state and really debating not to install the nasty *** OEM front lic plate which is still in the original plastic in the glove box behind the passenger seat. Apparently last owner " 1 owner owned" never had a issue with being pulled over. Just don't have the heart to drill through the bumper to mount it. I did find the stillen one. But it mounts in the front bracket which my CIA is currently using. So no go on that. I have also been keeping track of how many cars and other Z owners in my area have installed. To my surprise a lot of people don't have em. So been battling with myself to install or not to install, that is the question

Well I WAS not going to install the OEM Licence Plate "live in a 2 plate state" Till some a**hole decided to hit my front bumper while I was parked in a parking lot. So pissed off right now. No idea how much I want to beat the crap of the person who did this! If you all have any suggestions on what I can use to touch it up. Prob just do that.

Nice z! Sorry to hear about the front bumper. I recently got hit by a car as well in a parking lot, but damage is a lot less than yours
