Default Is this a good deal?

Hello 350z forum, I'm currently in the market searching for a Z. I came across a 2006 Pike's Peak White Nissan 350Z, 6speed manual. The car has 56k mileages and a Veilside front Lip. The dealer is asking for 18.899OTD. There is nothing wrong with the car, it drives really smooth and everything seems to be good, but the only thing that bothers me is that the windshield has a 4inch cracked on the left side. The other 2 issues is that the rear bumper looks like it's not aligned correctly and it has a big after market intake. I do not know much about modding cars, I'm only 19 and I've been working at a part time job and been saving up since forever to be able to cough out this $5,000 down payment. Since it's my first sports car I do not want to get ripped off or buy a crappy car. If anyone can give me some advices it would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the pictures of the rear bumper and the intake under the hood.

I want to thank you guys in advance! =]

$15.5K tops, assuming it hasn't been hit (looks like it has been, though).

really? the dealer assured me that it's a clean title, he even had the Carfax. I don't know man. It's so hard for me to find a good deal with just 5k cash. I pretty much can only buy from dealer since they finance. Private party are cheaper but they want like 12-13k cash.

I have no idea lol. I'm pretty desperate for a Z right now. After test driving it I was SOLD. No more S2k, no more wanting a FRS. Only the Z!

Bad repair shops, such as the one which repaired this car, don't necessarily report to CarFax. How can a dealer even sell a car with a cracked windshield. Move on. and don't buy a car you can't afford.

Agreed. With the a crack in the windscreen as big as the OP has denoted, sudden change in temperature or go over a bump in the road, bang goes your screen.

Is it even legal to sell a car in your state with a windscreen that's quite badly cracked????

PS, OP, don't be too eager to buy, salesman can smell it from a mile off, especially in a young'en.

Thank you guys for your quick response, the dealer was pressuring me to go back in tomorrow to make the purchase by saying how there are other people that are extremely interested in the car. I was really planing on going at first but after reading what you guys said I don't think I want the car anymore.

Thanks Everyone!

It's just so hard to find a nice 350z here in San Francisco =[ Especially Stick shift, idk why 80% of the ads on criaglist is automatic. That's why every time I see a white or black Stick shift I just lose my mind and want it so bad! haha

Have you done a CarFax on the Z?Possible it was in a wreck?
The windshield crack should not be a deal braker.I had mine replaced for $170.
Negotiate with the dealer. The price is too high.Maybe 15,500&replce the windshield.
The "big" aftermarket intake is nothing but a Popcharger(clone?)no heat shield.
Common as hell on a Z.

I drove an 03-05 (slow), 06 rev-up ( faster), 07-08 (Nothing but love) the next day i was search for a 07 and 08 non stop till i found my ppw. if you dont believe me test drive one. ive raced and 06 and walked all over it.

Walk away, you do not want to rush into car decisions too quickly. FYI, I know you need financing, but my father purchased his 2007 PPW with 33,000 miles last year for $17k private party. There are better deals to be had.

they showed me the Carfax it says there are no accidents, but like dcains said, what if it was hit and got repaired at some cheap place that doesn't report to Carfax? I'm pretty sure the dealerships knows people that can do that. The sticker price was 20k, he wouldn't even take 18.5k OTD

Front bumper and rear bumper look like its been in an accident. And the windshield being cracked? Isnt that a safety issue or even illegal to drive with. Get this thing on a lift and I bet you'd find more signs that it was in an accident. Pass for sure!!!
