Drive it carefully and nicely for the first month or so until you feel very comfortable with it.
Read or skim the owner's manual.
Read or browse this site for all your information before asking too many questions.
Finally, enjoy the car and keep the shiny side up.

The 06 had the rev up motor. Many cars with that motor had significant oil consumption issues. It turned out to be a ring issue.
Be certain yours wasn't one of them and ask the owner if they experienced any oil consumption issues and if so have they been dealt with (There will have been a test done at a dealership). That motor was in a very small amount of Zs (some of the 05 Anniversary Editions and the 06) and this was for a reason.
ill be sure and ask about that tomorrow when i pick it up and is it anyhting like the 2011 genesis coupe 3.8? cause if so then ill be fine with it cause i sold that to get this

I'd rather be caught j*rking off in public than drive a hyundai. Hyundais are known for being cheap imitations of better cars. You will like the Z better. Good luck and congrats in advance!

$7,000 for an '06Z raises red flags in my book. Even with high milage, that car is worth more than $7k. Make sure you check the vehicle history report (could be a salvage/rebuilt title) and the engine to make sure the car is not falling apart. The current owner could be selling cheap to cut his/her loss and get something for the lemon they are about to sell you.
"I sold a 2011 to buy a car that is 5 years older; I can handle all the power because I drove a Hyundai; I don't know anything about this car, but I'm buying one tomorrow"
Google is your friend; take some initiative and read on your own. Gahd!
$7K is really cheap for an '06. There is most likely something wrong or it was rebuilt.

You obviously haven’t been in a new gen coupe nor driven one. Hyundai as well as Kia have CONSIDERABLY stepped their game up in the car market. The gen coupe is actually a really nice car, I considered buying a 2L turbo before actually getting the Z but decided I couldn’t handle the lack of torque.
Gen Coupes have TONS of potential and are really fun cars to drive and, to be quite honest, are built pretty nicely, not too far off from Nissan standards if you ask me.

Procede with caution - that is my advice to you.
THIS! 7k for a 06 Z is REALLY low, my guess is that its a salvage title...either that or your buying it from a crackhead on the blackmarket lol
so i went and checked it out today and...f that peice of horse **** but i did find an 05 for 9500 and drove it checked the history report and title and this car is as clean as a whistle other than 113k miles

stop it.
stop finding 350z's under 10 grand.
the only reason someone has the right to charge under 10K for one of these cars, is if its missing some pieces. dont expect to find a nice for too cheap. but even now about 50% of nice 350's are under 15K.
take some time champ. stop comparing it to a hyundai.
