Default New to 350z ownership

As the title says, I recently purchased a 2005 350z with 30k miles. I believe it is the enthusiast trim, it has cloth seats but it has cruise control, traction control and LSD. I had a 2005 RX8 that was totaled when I hit a deer a few weeks ago, but I am very happy with the upgrade that came out of it. It already had a few mods done to it when I bought it, it had tinted windows, flip up touch screen radio with ipod integration, 10 inch sub with a box that fits under the support beam in the hatch, a painted nismo replica lip, 10,000k low beams, led blinkers and reverse lights, led dome light, led license plate light, and an intake and plenum spacer. Since I've had it for the couple weeks I've put on an HKS replica true dual exhaust, and have it lowered on tein s techs and I've tinted the tails and plastidipped my badges. I only bought the s techs cause a local forum member had them for a steal price and I wanted it lower right now, but I will be upgrading to either BC racing BR coilovers or Function and Form coilovers in around a month or so. Here she is.

And here was my RX-8 for all my fellow rotards.

thanks! I'm quite happy to be a 350z owner, it's been a lot better performer than the rx8 so far.

Congrats and welcome! We have the same Z (year and color)!

I love rotaries, mainly FA/FB,FC, and FD's. The Rx8 can handle pretty good out of the box, but it just needs more umph to the rear tires. Hopefully Mazda can make the next Rx7 with the turbo's again.

actually they are planning to bring the FD back in 2015-2017 with a 1.6L naturally aspirated 300hp rotary motor. mainly N/A to bring up the fuel effienecy and reliability. the rx8 did handle noticeably better than my z, but once I get coilovers I think my z will handle better and be tons faster.

Yeah I read that a few days ago, kinda long to wait for 5 years. But what surprised me is that the car chief Nobuhiro said the weight of the car will be lighter than the FD, and somewhere near the FT-86/FR-S weight! I also think there will be a Mazdaspeed turbo version after that or I could hope!

Congrats on a nice-looking Z, but if you want to be able to see at night, lose those silly 10000K headlight bulbs and get some in the 5500-6500K range.

yeah the 10000k low beams might get ditched for 6000k next spring. I'm focusing on my stance first, then I'm gonna fix the few little things I don't like.

I bought D2 RS coilovers from a forum member and they should be here by the end of next week. Now to decide on camber/control arms, and then wheels.
