Just purchased my first Z!
Hey all,
I have officially set everything up to receive my 08 350Z on Tuesday of next week! I have never before purchased a vehicle off the internet and I am excited, but a bit nervous about what to expect. I have already set up my insurance with Progressive that will run me close to $130 a month and have paid to have the vehicle transported on a flat bed for another $500 dollars (it feels like the fees are never ending..). Obviously I have been approved the loan and will be required to sign the contract on the arrival of the truck, which is going to deliver the car directly to my house. In addition, i have to pay an additional fee at the secretary of state's office.
With that, I was wondering what else I can expect and what I need to know regarding the vehicle? I want to make sure that I am covered and what the next steps are after receiving the vehicle. I asked about the warranty and since the car has 33,000 miles I will still have the 100k warranty and was told I will be getting a four-year warranty from their dealership, but if a problem occurs would I have to go there to have it fixed or could a go to a local
Nissan dealership to get it serviced.
As for the car and the dealership, the link is: http://www.mcdonaldgmccadillac.com/V...-MI/1847639243 and i will try to post the pictures if i can figure it out.
I would appreciate any advice and whether anyone knew the previous owner of the vehicle. You will have to forgive me if I seem a bit noobish at car buying, but this is the first car that I will be purchasing myself and the first one that is not local!
Additionally, i am 23 and am coming from an 00 impala so this car will be an awesome upgrade and was the car i always wanted when i owned my celica gt at 16.

Thanks! I was leery about getting the base, but I absolutely loved the car the first time I saw it and hope it looks as good in person. It would have been nice to have cruise control and an lsd, but I've been reading that it's still possible to add those options later on down the road if I so desire. I can't wait for the mods to begin though! I've been driving an auto impala for too long now.

Congrats on the car.I'd check out the particulars of that "4yr extended warranty".
Warranties of this type in general are not worth their cost. What is your cost?
From the pics,looks like a clean Z.
Not a fan of the bronze OEM wheels though.I'd respray them gunmetal.
If you like e'm,thats all that counts.

Thanks guys! Looking forward to adding my first mod, whatever that might be...First I need to hop in the driver's seat though and try it out. As for the warranty, I am not sure of the price for I only know the total cost of the deal. And this time I am going to try my hardest to keep my Z as clean as possible, unlike my last car that was a bit too flashy.
