Not to be a douche but it didn't help the wheels, in fact they are more noticeable now. The rest of the car looks great though, good work. Sell that JGC and get some wheels.......even junkyard stockers would be better than those things.

Thank you, it's temporary and to be honest was fun to do. Next time I'm doing lime green wheels just because I can.

I'm not a huge fan of the wheels but do think they look better all silver. Actually they look a lot like the fugly wheels on your Z now Maybe we should find a deal for two sets of wheels so we can fix the look of mine and yours. No way I'm ever selling the Grand, V8,4x4,straight axles,leather,sunroof,etc.... That's a keeper in my book.

Forgot to say in my previous post what a fantastic job you've done so far, you've certainly breathed new life into what was an old dog. I won't mention the wheels as you've got those in hand, way to go with lime green though. Terrific work dude.

Thank you for the kind words. I think buying beaten up turds and trying to turn them into something most people would be happy driving has become a sort of addiction. I'm constantly looking for that next project/challenge. Not that this ones done but it's nice to hear words of encouragement like yours, thanks.

My apologizes, I thought you still had the Z and added the WRX. I understand why all the political and opinionated post now, you have no Z.

Bingo. I miss the Z and if I could redo it I would have better offset wheels, but alas I somehow found myself in small-SUV-land.

Just saying, the wheels are so huge it looks like a ghetto cruiser.

From what I've seen of this site. buying any wheels and tires that aren't >2k will just cause equal hate. "not the right offset" "those wheels are trash". OP should just leave them on until he finds a good deal on some used wheels when budget allows. Clearly he's got a good head with how much progress he has made so far. Good job OP.

The wheels sure do cause controversy. The thing is I'd love to get a set of Volk GT-C but with only $4k in the car the way it sits that's kind of hard to justify. Eventually the wheels will go away for something in an 18" or maybe 19" size.

So with the wheels on hold until I decide what to get I'm working on fixing all the other little things. Like polishing the exhaust, I finally got so time to finish the other side and get it mounted.

They don't sit perfectly symmetrical, but I'll fix that on the lift at work.

For now though I'm just enjoying the ride and punching through the gears, which brings me to this.

So last night was the first time I'd driven the Z at night and of course I got pulled over. Not for speeding but because the idiot painters blacked out my LED license plate lights.
