hey there everyone, i just got a new 2007 350z base! im in florida but the car is from california! i thought that was cool! i used to have a 240sx which is why i went with this car and i am nothing but happy! it has 58xxx! the only problem with it right now is after 3 days my clutch went out, so when the funds come together im going with the jwt clutch flywheel combo! i look foward to being active in the 350z community and just having a blast in my z

Nice looking Z, and welcome from another FL (Tampa area) Z owner. I had my '08 for about a year before I got the windows tinted, and I have to tell you, it makes a world of difference in comfort, especially now with Summer coming on. Something to consider.

So, what do you mean by "my clutch went out"? Is it that the hydraulics have failed (slave problem is common, unfortunately), or is the disc just worn and slipping?

@dcains- i should have clarified more, the disk is worn and slipping bad in 5th and 6th gear!

 

That's too bad - only one way to fix that. My '08 has 52K on the OEM clutch, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it lasts for a good while longer.

 

its not all bad, gives me a good excuse to upgrade
