Post From Z32 to Z33

Hey everyone, so yesterday, Friday June 22nd, 2013, I got my 350z. Its a white 2006 model, manual transmission, with 116k miles. Here's a little backstory, I bought the z32 as my first car, and it was pretty much my basis for automotive knowledge. I learned a lot of things from it, ranging from driving technique to mechanic skill. And now that I feel like I have progressed I thought it was time to move on to newer and better things, so as a Z lover, the 350z would be perfect. So yeah, here are the pictures and I hope to mke friends and learn a lot on this forum!

I have only driven it a few blocks and here is my impression:
Okay first of all the first thing I noticed was POWER!!! I was test driving it and the guy told me to push it, so I did a light launch and I somehow ended up spinning wheels at redline. It is also very torquey, it picks up instantly even at 2,000 rpm. The suspension is very quiet, solid, communicative, and rides nice. Other small things I love, the seating position, how you see the fenders and the hood, I also like the shifter, short, solid and precise shifts. The interior is very nice and fancy too, I love the design.

Your word now means nothing to the rest of us. Congrats on the car nonetheless.

That and he said it's torquey at 2000 rpm. I was under the impression the Z32 is more powerful.

Congrats OP…is it coincidence or do you just have a major hard-on for the 2007 touring wheels? or are they the same wheels, just swap on each z? what are your plans for the z32?

Maybe I missed it, but I would assume the OP has a NA 300…and even if he has a tt it's apples and oranges > a 3liter tt vs a 3.5liter na…OP didnt mention anything about mods on either car…I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, the z33 has an impressive torque curve(or lack there of)

Yes, I do have a hard on for the anniversary wheels, and yeah the z32 is NA, heavy and lacking the power, unlike the TT which is a huge step up from NA. My plans for the z32 are to sell it, even though I wouldn't doubt that I can afford both of them, I simply can't own two cars that I love, its hard to explain. Probably because I would feel out of balance driving one more than the other, kinda like having two dogs and playing more with just one.

Haha thanks, it took our family a while to finally get it finished, and its the only house on the street which is why the road is unpaved.

Oh and thanks to everyone else

So I have been cruising around the forum for a bit, and I noticed that there's a lot of bashing in regards of young fellas owning Z's. So just to clear things up, I am 18 years old and I got the z32 when I was 17. I have been driving it for over a year now, and with it I have accumulated lots of driving experience, knowledge, and maturity. So yeah, not to sound cocky or ignorant, but I do feel much more prepared than any teenage noob that jumps into a sports car for the first time.

Welcome... I also want to say the house is cool looking by the way. Noticed the emblem not on the side. Was it that way when you bought? Just wondering.

I don't think that's a Z32TT. Front air dam is for a Z32NA.

I used to have a Z32NA and loved that car. It was a lot of fun to drive, especially on the tracks. OP, that color was what I wanted when I was looking for a Z32. I ended up with a Glacier White Pearl that I bought in San Diego County.

Good color choice on the Z33, too.

Actually, the lip with 2 air ducts comes only with the TT, but who knows, could be NA with TT bumper. Also it says on his Sig that its TT.

lol - my bad. I totally didn't see that you were actually complimenting his cars and sig. I thought you were another member commenting on your Z32.

Yes, the TT does come with the air ducts in the lower dam.
