Default New Addition

Hey guys, my last z was broken into and totaled so, here's my new baby.
It's a 2007 SMB Touring. Had a fun drive home
Bad news... driver side headlight is out. Can anyone the best method of repairing? Dealer is probably a bad idea huh? Doing it yourself is also a pain though I hear..

Some say the front bumper has to come off, yet others say you can get to the rear of the headlight by partially removing the inner arch. I can't offer anymore than that as I've yet to have one fail on me. One thing is for sure its going to cost you plenty of $$$$'s to take it to a dealer. The car looks beautiful by the way.

You should only need to take the fender well liner off. There are like 5-6 plastic pins and a few screws and it should pop off with some convincing....

Yeah you dont have to remove the front bumper cover. that would be stupid. They are thinking of taking the headlight out maybe. to replace the bulb take the fender liner out. its do able with the wheel on. but easier with the wheel off.

Very nice car.

just to change a bulb I doubt it has to come off. I took out the entire light and it was a mission.

This is pretty much exactly what I was looking for when I was in the market for a Z. After 4 months of diligent searching I settled for the second best color, Silverstone Metallic. Congrats! I love that color!

Enjoy number two. Headlight bulbs are a bit of nuisance to get at, but not difficult, it doesn't take long.

Very nice car.
This is what Nissan workshop schedules say and allow 4.5 hours for the replacement of the bulb hence the high cost of dealer replacement. Its forum members who have found that it is possible to remove the inner arch either partly or fully to replace the bulb. So if you think it 'stupid' to remove bumper cover then take it up with Nissan US to see if they'll change their protocol and as a result charge the customer 2 or 3 hundred $ less!
