My name is Tim and for the last seven or so years I have been building and drifting s13's and s14's. I just got out of the Marine Corps and relocated to the D.C. area. My last and most involving 240 build got featured in Modified and decided to sell it as I just didn't have time to enjoy it.
Anyway after a year of looking at an empty garage and living within 45min of Summit Point Raceway and a stones throw from VIR...I've decided to start doing HPDE's and tracking a new car. With that being said, I love the s-chassis but am tired of having to restore 20year old car prior to enhancing and decided to go with a 350z. Combined with the new spec z series I feel I will at least have a direct outlet to pursue should I enjoy and evolve in HPDE.
I was passively looking and just waiting for a great deal and hopefully this weekend I'll be making the road trip to pick up a friends 03' 350z. It's already track prepped (in fact a little more then I actually need initially) and is in GREAT shape. The chassis is sitting at 110k miles yet the motor is at 60k (replaced under warranty) and the trans is sitting at 40k (replaced with cd009 under warranty).
I'll be hanging around here for awhile and my350z.com has earned a coveted spot on my startup pages lol. This site has provided me with a great wealth of knowledge and subsequently you won't need to worry about me asking asinine or newb questions
