the stealership tried to pass mine off as grand touring, thankfully i did my research prior to looking to buy and knew that trim came with brembos, called them out on it and they were like "oh, we made mistake, your right"
Lol. Yeah I never met someone who had a problem there before. When I was telling the loans girl at my bank she was like I've never had this happen. Imma call her when they open and tell her theyre aftermarket seats and see if that will sort it out.
I don't believe any Z came with splash guard. They were a dealer installed option. Of course, virtually all Z's came with them since they were an added source of profit.

Don't take it the wrong way, your Z still looks good. We just don't like seeing stealerships taking advantage of people. Honestly, the seats don't look all that bad. I actually like them -- different for sure. Just not a $6,000 difference!

Yeah definetly not a 6k difference. Thanks though! I wish I would of found this site the week I bought it.... lol. I'm going to take her to a dealership in Green it's about a 30 min drive from my house, probably thursday after work. And I'm going to have them look at it and tell me what model they would list it as. And or see if they can look into it and see if they can find the original papers for it. If not I'll be buying a carfax on friday when I get paid and I'll be calling the dealership it went too when it got to the states. Just wish there was a way of doing that without paying for the carfax lol.
She may be a base model but I still love her. Looking beautiful at work lol. Next to my dads frontier.
There is noting wrong with a Base model. I have a Base and have owned it for over 10 years. I still love it. The problem with the Z lineup is that all the models look so much alike. The differences are so subtle that it is difficult to keep the various models straight. And people have changed them over the years and that adds to the confusion. Here is a pic of mine.

Yours is very nice! Yeah I think with mine having the spoiler throws it off a tad too. However there are still things that make it easy to pick out now that I know what to look for. The number one thing being it doesn't have cruise control! And it's the only model which doesn't have cruise lol. SMH I would of thought the dealership would of known considering how long they've been around and how big they are! Which should make it easy to get this contract voided once I have paper proof of it stating it's a base. When they had it listed online they had it listed as a 35th ae. The tag on the rearview mirror also said 35th. The lady told me they have it listed as a touring on the contracts.. Which I never saw when I was reading over them when I was signing. And I got a base model so they screwed up 3 times...
Partly yes. It's a big dealership that has other dealer ships within it if that makes sense.. They sell nissan, hyundai, ford, mitsubishi etc. Which have they're own departments. I found the number for nissan consumer affairs I'm thinking about calling them and seeing if they can find the info I'm looking for.
Or should I call Nissans customer support.. Well I'll try one and see what they say then try the other.

Sorry, but KBB isn't the "real world", which is partly why you're now in this situation. I hope it works out for you, though.
No but Dealerships go by kbb and so do loan offices when pricing the vehicle and approving the loans etc. I should hopefully have this resorted by friday!

Actually, most dealers and financial companies use the "Black Book", which has a restricted circulation, and is not readily available to consumers.

I just got off the phone. they were able to confirm it. Hes going to look in to what they can do to the dealer and give me a call back and Im going to have him fax me the proof of everything!
Yeah it's a base model. I told them they put touring on the contract and it was actually a base model. He told me he was going to look into what they can do to the dealership that did this and what they can personally do for me also, and that he'll call me back when he finds everything else out!
