Sounds like you're getting things taken care of by the appropriate party. Attorney would be last resort for sure.

Honestly it will probably work out best for you. I don't think the 35th anniversary edition is worth that crazy price bump anyway. Now you should get some significant money back to give your car gifts that you will really appreciate... more so than the 35th anniversary badges.

That it was I'm hoping for! I would love to get my money back, or even just my down payment, and have the rest of what I've paid moved to the new contract on the new resorted price. But won't know for sure till today sometime :/

Had my bank fax me my contract. And it says touring on it every time it lists the model I was signing for.

Sorry about it being sideways I flipped it before I uploaded it but for some reason it went back to sideways lol

Nissan sent me their info! And I want to say if anyone else ever has a problem or you know of someone that this unfortunately happens to give that number a call and the extension number for the guy who helped me out is 457243. I definetly recommend him! Best customer service I've ever had!

Why does it also say "Roadster", when your car is a coupe? That difference may account for a larger difference in the value of the bank's collateral than the 35th trim. You, and the bank, need to read things much more carefully before signing contracts.

BTW, not sure what the value of that reply from Nissan is. It doesn't state anywhere that you've got a "base" trim car, which is really what you need it to mention.

Not sure why might just come up that way? And I know but if I need to I'll call them and have them tell the dealership. Nevermind. I'll give them a call in a minute while I'm measuring tires and have them send me something stating it's a base. Even though the options depict it is in fact a base model, Guess it would be best to have it spelled out for the fuhkt@rds.

I think that is the way Nissan refers to the Base model. My window sticker for my base simply states the car is a Nissan 350Z Coupe. I think the Base model is something the Z enthusiasts named the car, not Nissan.

Maybe, but it would be more help if Nissan listed the stuff that was missing from the 35th, rather than what came standard on the "base". The missing stuff is really what's important in this case, and that's what one pays extra for with a higher trim level. As I mentioned, that "roadster" mention on the contract might **** the bank off, too, because they're always worth at least a few $K more than the coupes, regardless of trim, and that's the bank's collateral.

True! I called them and he was in a meeting.. I had the lady send him a email stating that I need another document stating it is in fact a base model and to call me. So when he calls me I'll have him state that the accessories that would of came with the touring model which is what is stated in the contract. Which my Z obviously doesn't have. Thanks for giving me a heads up about this. I have a lot of stuff going on, and I'm stressing out like a crack head without a rock... The dealership still hasn't called me back yet either which I'll be having to call and find out who I need to talk to and when I can go in to do so!

Here is a scan from the 2005 dealer brochure. It shows each of the 350Z models and what equipment should be on each. Please note it refers to the Base model simply as 350Z.

I called the dealership again and spoke to the lady I did last night. She said the general sales managers are looking into and making phone calls and that they would be contacting me when they figure out they "fuhked up".

I have a 35th anniversary edition Z with 52k miles, and near perfect condition. My insurance appraised it at a value of 15.7k $. Dont look at KBB because there arnt many being sold, so the data isnt correct.

most likely meaning they are digging through the contract and see if there are any loopholes they can take advantage of to get out of paying you back

Lol. Or discussing how they're going to give me my money back. I don't think they'll be able to find a loophole. HOPE NOT ANYWAYS!

well, based on what you said and assuming that was all true, they are not an honest dealer. advertising as "35th anniversary edition", wrote down "touring roadster" on the contract, delivered a base model, and now they have to figure out if they've f'ed up after given so many evidence?

Yeah IKR. I think they're probably discussing how it happened. And what they're going to do about my "bloody" money..

it just feels like there could be so many things that could go wrong when dealing with this kind of shady business. i hope you do have a copy of their ads that stated "35th anniversary edition", that might help just in case.

No unfortunately I had that saved on a computer at work and it got locked out by the administration.. I'm going after them for selling me a "Touring" when they actually sold me the base.

They sure are having a longgg *** meeting.. It really sucks this had to happen with them too, they have a nice Prowler I was looking at when I took my car in to get the remotes programmed to my car yesterday too. Good thing the prowler is an auto so there's no chance in me even considering it!
