Yeah. The lady at my bank and I think they over looked the fact that I actually paid $18,xxx something for it. And that the dealership was looking that what I got financed for after I put my down payment on it. So I'm going to show them this when I go in at noon and tell them they owe me another $2,000, totaling at 4k which is the correct price difference.

I'm going to go in and if I feel like they're not co-operating with me or feeling threatened at all, I'm going to call my dad and have him come in. I'm definetly not signing anything till I have someone else read over it and make sure everything is right this time. And to also have them go over everything that we decide on with one of my parents just to be sure. The lady at the bank also said that if they don't want to co-operate with my deal to tell them to buy the car back and to also pay me back for the things I've put in it, and go from there. I'm not really sure what's going to happen when I go there. But I'll be finding out in 30 minutes!

Haha I think it's funny you're bringing in your dad. It just sounds funny. I think I'd have one of the people at the bank go with you as well. It would be pretty BA if three people walked in to settle one matter.

unless you dad is working at the bank or is a lawyer, there is no point in getting him involved. Your dad has no business in the deal and his opinion doesn't matter to the dealer.

edit: well....unless you are legally a minor...

Eh I handled it myself. The manager at the dealership went over the prices on the contract and explained it to me. The purchase price for the car was $16,100, then GAP, tax and title fees took it up to $18,xxx. Then my down payment of $2k took it down to $16,xxx. There was a $1,640 difference between the models and they wrote me a check for $2,000. He explained to me how this all happened. The dealership has 2 different "lots" which have different vehicles for sale. The dealership the 350z was at, was at the Nissan dealer lot. So when I wanted to purchase it, they had to buy it from their other lot and then sell it to me. So all of the info they got for the car was from the Nissan dealership not, the dealership who sold me it. ( try not to get lost, hard to explain through text). Anyways the guy at the Nissan lot who inspected the Z and listed it, is no longer working for them because of this incident. When it was at the other dealership it was listed as a 35th, when nissan sent this lot the credentials on it; it showed it as a Touring. Being that it was a nissan dealership they should of known it was neither. The salesman who sold me the car will be getting in trouble now too, because I told the manager that I went in on Tuesday when you guys told me to, and I told him that the salesman said it had been to long and that they wouldn't do anything about it. He had no idea about it at all and said he'd take care of that.

I also asked him about the point inspection that is done on the cars before they are put on the lot. Reason being I had to replace the clutch, clutch fork, master and slave cylinder 2 months after I bought it. And the first month I had it which was during their warrenty it was at the body shop due to the damn deer. He told me to go to the nissan dealership and have the service record pulled and tell them, and that they should be able to do something about it, givin all the other problems that they caused. So in short. Everything is now fixed and taken care of. I'm going to be stopping at the dealer on the way home from work to have that record pulled. And see what happens.

Oh and my bank said they'll be re-writing the finance payment plan, and will make it a 60 month loan again, which will drop my payments hella low. And with it being a simple loan I can still pay more on it if I choose and pay it off sooner than the 60 months if I choose too! So given that.. HELLLOOOO CAR PARTSSS

No I was going to have him come in to go over everything incase I was missing something. But the manager worked with me and broke everything down for me so I understood everything and handled it myself.

Bullsh*t on the guy at Nissan dealership getting canned because of this. It's just a convenient way of shifting blame and looking like a hero. Glad it's sorted out though.

The guy at Nissans dealership is the one who failed at properly inspecting the car when it got there, he cut corners and provided false info; from not doing his job correctly. Even if it was shifting blame, I think he got what he deserved. I'm glad it's all sorted out too... Damn thing gave me white hairs in my beard...

You misunderstood what I meant. If you never met this "guy at Nissan" I'm saying he most likely doesn't exist. The dealer tried to screw you over, got caught, and is now shifting the blame to an imaginary person (or a person who is no longer there for completely unrelated reasons).

It sounds like they are trying to look good in the end so you don't write a bad public review.

Many dealerships are notorious for doing this. They make a living off of screwing unsuspecting customers, and have plenty of tactics for avoiding blame and trouble. They're literally professionals of this craft. That's capitalism for ya!

Probably the case. Either way I'm never buying another car from them, and they made me "feel" good lol.

They bought you a "special" massage, or did the receptionist offer her services?

dude,

you will learn this when you get a little older/wiser: you NEVER crack a joke until "afterwards"...joke beforehand & you might get cut off for awhile...

glad everything worked out for you.
