Hey all,

Just picked up a 2010 370Z Sport on Friday. I used to be a member of this forum a few years back when I had a 350Z...not sure if I posted anything though. Just mostly used it for a resource. But, now that I am back in the Z family I am looking to be more active.

I got rid of my 350Z about 2 years ago and got into a turbo MKII MR2 (my second one). After that I had a C5 Z06 for a bit, but I am happy to be back in a Z car now. The 370Z is a great car so far and I am really enjoying it.

Oh yeah. Nothing major, though. I'll do intake and exhaust first...maybe a short shifter. I eventually want to drop it, but I want to do research first and get something good because I don't want to sacrifice the ride quality. It has brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sports on it now, so when those are worn out I'll get some new wheels and tires too. I had LMGT4's on my old 350Z and I really liked that look, so I might try for something like that again.

One question though, I heard there was some sort of change in 370's built after 6/10. Does anyone know anything about that?

EDIT: I found something about the TPMS components not being compatible. I saw the option to choose whether the car was built before or after 6/10 on Tire Rack, so that is probably it.

You went from Z06 to 370Z? What was the reason if you dont mind me asking? Must feel absolutely sluggish now.

woops... just realised you said C5. Makes more sense.

 

My C5 was pretty quick. I had long tubes, an x-pipe, intake, Comp valve springs, Spec clutch, etc...it would have dyno'd close to 400whp. But, it was turning into an absolute pile of ****. Everything was breaking. Besides, I didn't need 400whp for a daily. The 370 is plenty quick for daily commute and is lots more comfortable, plus it has better amenities.

One day I may get back into a Corvette, but it won't be a C5, that's for sure.

Really? My 350z had a Nismo short shifter and I enjoyed it. Does it do more harm than good on the 370's?

No it was definitely short. I didn't have to push it down to get it into reverse. My Corvette was super short, so I guess that makes me feel like the 370 is long, lol.
