Default New to the Forum, New to the Z!

Hello Everyone!
Today is my first day having an account here at my350z and my second day driving my Z.

The past few months have been a lot of work. I traded my '89 240sx SR20 Drift car for the Z I own today. I wanted something that I could rely on day-to-day for work. I was told it had a valve lifter tick. The previous owner had started to take it apart before we traded. Anyway, long story short, that was not the case. The motor was completely blown. The clutch was warn down to nothing. There was ZERO oil in it (no wonder the piston bearing was shattered). Etc Etc. I ended up buying a motor for it with 70k. Installed it and now Im up and running! I just wanted to give a quick background of why i'm here, and say hello, and thanks! I have used this forum on many occasions during my build and tests to iron out some unwanted wrinkles. I don't plan to do much to the Z other than make it clean as possible with some stance. During which ill probably be building another 240 for my sliding addiction.

Since Im new I'd appreciate any advice you could throw out to me as far as warning and precautions. What not to do/what to do! I read the Big 'ol sticky thread and it was very helpful. I know these cars are a lot more delicate than say my SR car.

Other than that, I'd love any info on wheel fitments! thats my next step. Looking for Big and deep. Slightly stanced but yet practical. Id love to see or hear about your fitments!

Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum Sclub13, I came to the 350Z after owning a couple of SR14DET's my first SR was pretty much standard and my second one was tuned to stupid. I must admit I fell in love with the torque of my VQ33DE and especially the shape of it. I'm in the process of saving for rims at the moment so I've done what a majority of owners do and that is put 25mm spacers on the back and 20mm on the front and these fill out the arches a treat with the 18" standard rims. There are plenty of threads on wheels and fitments and it just takes a little bit of searching and I'm certain you'll find exactly what you want for size and fitments. Good Luck, and again welcome.

about 99% of the questions you come up with were already asked. so as stated above, the search function is your friend. also, any info on fitment can be found in wheels and tires. GL!

Sounds like you and your Z have already been through a lot. You're off to a better start than most in regards to the forum.

As far as fitment goes here is my old expired for sale thread with my Mag Blue Volk GTS. I can't decide if I want to sell them or not.... Lmk if you're interested and we can talk price!
