Default Howdy

Just bought an 04 z. This board has been a big help in the couple weeks I've had it, so I thought I would register and stick around for a while.

In case you were wondering... It's pearl white, 115k miles and I paid $6900 for it.

Congratz on your purchase and welcome to the forum. Posting some pics would be a good idea. Have you any plans for it?

this is it. no big *** speaker in the back, but it was obviously owned by a chick before me... brake calipers are painted hot friggin pink. I plan on keeping it mostly stock with some minor upgrades (magnaflow exhaust, k&n filter, etc.) and eventually painting it a non-metallic hunter green and im gonna powder coat the rims, door handles and all the badging flat black... but that's gonna have to be a couple years down the road. I got a great deal on it, and the guy that sold it to me was pretty straight up about why. it has a few issues (driver side window motor is broke, hydraulics that hold up the hatchback don't work and I had to tear out the lower engine cover because it kept coming loose from the front bumper and scraping the ground), and he needed some quick cash to make his payroll, so he picked this up at auction really cheap and I was the first one to jump on it.

For the "lower engine cover" aka engine undershroud, the best replacement available on the market is this:

http://www.zspeedperformance.com/ZSp...ld-zsp2001.htm

it also comes with standard hardware

Rear hatch struts and the window motor will probably cost a pretty penny if you buy new.

Anyways, good luck

+1 on the ZSpeed undershroud. One of my favorite mods.

About a year ago I bought a set of rear hatch support struts on Amazon - still working great:

Amazon.com: StrongArm 4194 Nissan 350Z 2003-05 Hatch Lift Support, Pack of 1: Automotive Amazon.com: StrongArm 4194 Nissan 350Z 2003-05 Hatch Lift Support, Pack of 1: Automotive

You should learn to use the search feature, but there is a thread about window motor repair:
