Default Hello everybody!

I just got myself a 2005 Z and im loving it! Im pretty new to my car, i dont know very much about it, yet; i came from the Euro scene (mini cooper, vw rabbit). Feels great to be a part of a new forum

i got it used and inside came a big Sony Xplode subwoofer and a 1200W power supply, and nothing else i know of lol. i believe its a base too, but im not too sure. it doesnt have cruise control and it has cloth seats\

at first glance i see the color gray, but to be technical, is it silverstone or carbon silver?
any recommendations for a head unit?

some pics:

Welcome!

If your Z has buttons on the steering wheel, it must be at least a Enthusiast.

Welcome. Nice Z. I think you have a Silverstone since Carbon Silver did not come out until the 2007 model year.

Of course, got plenty lined up lol. But I think first will be a new head unit, got any suggestions? I had a pioneer fx700 on my dub, but I'm considering one with a full screen

Then coils sways brakes rotors wheels. You know, the usual

Excuse my nubness, but what do you notice in the pics that tell you it's an enthusiast?

I was just taking a guess by looking at your wheels. It is either a Base or Enthusiast model.

Model Breakdown (2003-2004.5):

Base: 3.5L V6 with 287hp/274 ft-lbs of tq., 17" rims. Only available in 6-speed MT. No VLSD, cruise control.

Enthusiast: Added Cruise Control, HID headlights, Aluminum pedals, Auto-dimming rearview mirror, VLSD, and TCS. Available in either 6-speed MT or 5-speed AT.

Performance: Adds VDC , 18" rims (18"x8" all around). Only available with 6-speed MT.

Touring: Adds Leather seats w/ power adjust-ability, Bose sound system, and optional DVD Navigation. Available in either 6-speed MT or 5-speed AT.

Track: Adds 18" Rays Track Rims (18"x8" front, 18"x8.5" rear, approx. 18.3 lbs per rim), Brembo Big Brake Kit, underbody aero kit w/ rear hatch spoiler. Only available in 6-speed MT.

Please note all automatic models Enthusiast up only had TCS, no VDC.

Thanks for the breakdown verdict. I don't have any buttons on my steering wheels so I think its same to presume my z is the base model

There is nothing wrong with the Base model. It is the lightest and therefore the fastest of the Z's. I've had my Base for about 10 1/2 years and am very happy with it.

I like the base model! Opens a lot of room for modding
