Wink WHAT SHOULD I DO FIRST? My first 350Z (2004 350Z Convertible, Silver)

Hey,
I just bought a '04 350Z at a STEAL! It's my first sports car and didn't realize how popular these cars were. I'm really excited about it and can't wait to see what she can really do. I'd like to know what I should upgrade/improve first. Look forward to sharing and learning with you all!

Drive it for a little and learn about your car first. The car may need initial maintenance and repairs. Last thing you want is to blow all your cash on mods and then need a new _____. It will also allow you to learn what you want to do with your car. Is it loud enough? Low enough? Quick enough? Is there something you'd like to change about it's appearance? Just enjoy her how she is for a little and look around here for inspiration. Pictures of car?

CongratZ and welcome!
Good q's.
If you have an '04 ZR, and care about looks, you may be ready for a top at $700 DIY price. (unless it's been changed).
If you're sure routine maintenance has been done, then decide what's important for you, cash reserve, lowering, new wheels, exhaust. See what others do, and set your goals.

Good Luck!

Get it looking the biz first... these run pretty quick straight from stock.
I did the window tint and added the shorty antenna. Cheap mode and really helped change the look.
Of course, I was lucky enough to get it with Forged Rays on it but I did swap out the crappy Kuhmo's to some a little more sticky!!

Antenna, I'm using one off a dodge avenger. It only cost like 6 dollars from the local dodge dealership and looks oem, window tint, and the biggest thing to improve is driving skills. Everyone says wait until the car is holding you back to start upgrading performance.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the purchase of your roadster. As has previously been said, I'd spend a little time driving it around and getting used to it and if its the first time you've driven a rear wheel drive car in anger, perhaps spend an hour or two at a drift school (you won't have to use your own car if you don't want to) getting used to driving a RWD and how to correct it and control it. Then I'd look at wheels, tires, suspension, exhaust and as the list goes on from there your wallet will be going on a serious diet.
