I just bought an 03 lemans orange 350z touring about 2 months ago and i gotta say i love these cars. Right now for mods i only have full HKS hi - power exhaust, 5/16" MD plenum spacer, and nismo CAI. I'm eventually going to run test pipes instead of stock cats. Also going to get the mrev2 lower plenum. So I was just wondering what you guys think? And what kind of gains I could expect from all these mods and a dyno tune?
Tuning is the most important part the gain equation. I net about 18 whp on the roller dyno jet for just an Uprev tune, but mine is an HR though, with bolt on. So, get your tune first, to see how it does with your current setup.
Hey, congratulations on the purchase of your 350Z and welcome to the forum. As MonkeyMagic72 says, its worth going on the dyno first just to see where you're at with what you have. Do you know if the previous owner had it tuned after fitting the spacer and other parts?
I heard from some ppl with similar mods and a tune pushing 270 to 280 whp. I bought it with on the hks exhaust and cai and no tune. When I'm done with the mods and tune I'll post a dyno graph of it.
I hope it's up in that range iideadeyeii. I wanna get what I can out of the car without going fi. Is there anything else I could do to the car besides weight reduction to get more hp and tq?
250 ish, my buddy with headers and all barely made it over 260

on a de, i doubt he will be that high, my hr on mustang dyno hit 286
I was looking at videos on YouTube a while back comparing the two, and if I remember correctly, there was like a 20+ hp difference using same car/same day on dynojet vs mustang dyno.
