Potential new owner, need advice
Hello,
My name is frank
I have a decent job and i know about cars
Im 29 and i have driven, race, modded alot of cars, i moved to this new island called sint maarten and after driving an old raliart lancer for a while, i wanted to buy a friends 2007 350z for $9000
it looks well maintained and he loves cars too.
He just change the clutch 3 months ago.for a racing one.
He drives the car from his house to his bussines from time to time.
he dont race or abuse his car.
Im new to the Z family so i need some advice.
Is it good for the price?
what should i look for before buying it?
Is it a good car to drive from home to work and sometimes have a lil fun with it?
i do not want to mod the engine , but i want to keep it well maintained and add some exterior aftermarket parts on it after.
thanks

It all depends on the car, but I ran the cheapest 350z version (2 door coupe) in Fair condition and it came in at $12,363.
Go here Kelly Blue Book http://www.kbb.com/?hppopcorn=a&ref=...%2Fcoupe-2d%2F
put in the year, the model, milage, and condition and so on.
I love my Z, and I'd drive it work and back (57 miles one way) maybe 8-10 times a month and I Loved it.
If you can not do an intense check on the car, take it to a mechanic.
Hope this helps....and makes sense as I just had a molar pulled out a few hours ago and I'm a bit out of it.

Welcome to the forum Frank, there is a section on this forum on what to look for when buying a 350Z, have a good read of this. Generally if they've had regular maintenance and have been filled with a good quality oil they're pretty bomb proof. How many miles? How many owners? Has he much supporting paperwork re services and parts replaced? Has he put any modded parts on it? They are a fantastic car for a bit of spirited driving, also for getting to work and back.
Thanks for the replies.
Today im gonna check the car and get back to you guys.
especially the miles since thats the first thing i had to ask him lol
Its good to here that the car is reliable
If its well maintained, dont want a sports car that makes me feel like i own a ferrari

The 350Z is no Ferrari from a mechanical perspective. The car you're considering is also the latest spec Z33, so be aware of issues with the CSC, and revel in the extra power you'll get with the VQ35HR. It'll be a great DD for years to come...
