Unhappy

hi, im a college student. i recently bought a 04 350z and would like to make a few modifications to it. I'm on a budget so i can't get ridiculous. i want to install a jwt pop charger, and a motor dyne 5/16th spacer. and sometime down the road possibly a stillen true dual. i would like some advice on whether or not my motor will be running lean ?

Hi, Im a college student and i just picked up a 2004 Z with 60 thousand miles on it in black. i absolutely love it coming from a 2003 cadillac cts. but i would love to get some work done to it. i just don't wanna mess anything up. i wanna get a Jwt Pop charger, MD 5/16 spacer and a stillen true dual sometime down the road. is there anything that i should worry about, will this setup harm the motor in any way?

HELP ME PLEASE !! my driver side window is messing up. it'll work when it wants too, then won't go back up if it got down. also won't even go down that slight amount when u open the door anymore ... what should i do ? I'm afraid ill go somewhere and it'll be stuck

The only thing I recommend is being careful when bolting the plenum back down I think the specs are like 14 inch foot pounds. I snapped 2 bolts when doing mine when just tightening with a ratchet, luckily I had extra bolts and the bolts snapped with room to still unscrew them again. It'd be pretty hard to hurt the motor, unless your just dumb and don't pay attention.

Best to read and take your time to learn instead of firing off as many threads as you can. Just saving you from being flamed. With that said, you will be fine.

This.

Normally I like to err on the side of not cutting off new forum members at the knees, but this guy has 4 posts - ALL of them starting new threads.

What a self-centered obnoxious punk kid.

For realz.

obviously you did not try to search the forums at all, so let me spoon feed you some information. a common problem on all z's are the window motors which often go bad. this is the problem you are having. so replace your window motor and don't go to the dealership to do it as they will charge you an arm and a leg.

this is the second post of yours ive seen that lacks basic understanding of cars. I suggest you do some research on the forums before the other members get on here and flame the hell out of you for asking stupid questions. theres a wealth of information on here, ive learned an extensive amount from these forums. If I were you id make my way around and read the pinned topics which will no doubt answer most of your questions.

Fair enough.

Perhaps my tone was a bit harsh.

Spend some time browsing through the forum. Use the search feature.

There are lots of knowledgeable people here, but if you ask or expect to be spoon fed you WILL find yourself being flamed. BADLY flamed.

You probably would have been better off starting off a SINGLE thread, introducing yourself and asking your questions all on this thread. Showing some interest in other members threads will also be rewarded with more people interested in helping you out.

Just my $0.02.

Welcome.

Welcome...No, there is no way to delete the thread...you will have to look at this the rest of your life and remember when you were such a nube...don't feel bad, happens to the best of us!

my 2cents related to your post is don't go crazy modifying until you have a bankroll to fund the car - The intake, plenum and exhaust wont make a huge difference on performance especially without a tune. If it was me - I'd keep it stock and wait until you can get a feel for how much it cost to make each addition WHP and decide if you want to 'invest' that into the car to get those numbers. Enjoy the OEM reliability while you still have it.

why don't you post up some pictures?

maybe pm a moderator and ask if they can be merged into a single thread?, or cut and paste your initial questions into ONE of the threads you started, then (again) ask a mod if they can close the other threads?

Noob mistake, not a big deal.

That should be the first thing you do because those wheels need to go.
