Default Switching from Frs to 04 Z have questions

So I found this 04 350z.Nissan had actually taken it apart when I first went to get it.
Anyways, the mechanics at Nissan said it was in perfect condition. It was pretty much owned by a grandma.

So I'm pretty happy with it.
Anyways so here's why I am really here.

I just sold my 2013 scion FRS that was all tricked out for like $25,000

Anyways, I went to test drive the Z and holy crap.
The clutch pedal seemed so heavy.
I feel I would have to constantly neutral at lights and things to save my leg.

Luckily my right knee got injured in my high speed motorcycle crash and not my right because I wouldn't even be able to handle that.

My frs clutch was so much lighter its concerning.
I understand they are different cars and the Z has much more hp so I assume it's just a stronger clutch so the thing is a bit heavier to push.

But if you've ever used those hand grip tools before, it's like going from 20 lbs of pressure to 80.
Manageable but tiring.
It will definitely take some getting used to.

It just makes me a little scared.
Mainly because I don't want to accidentally fry this clutch while going from a stop because it is such a drastic difference that the Z makes me seem like somebody who just learned clutch. Minus the stalling.

I hear you can take out some spring in the clutch to relieve the pressure feeling.
But does that compromise anything?

its a heavy clutch. Not meant for little girl legs thats for sure.

Now, if they upgraded to a JWT you get a heavier pressure plate which will make it worse.

The Z's clutch pedal tends to be on the heavier side compared to a FRS but not to the extent you're describing. Keep in mind that cars do drive differently from one another so maybe go test drive a different Z to compare to this one.

like he said, even the OEM clutch is a little bit heavier than a lot of cars.
I drove a 2010 Honda Civic SI, and the clutch pedal felt like I was pushing in a straw.

don't know why'd you keep it in gear while at a red light anyway!
just takes some getting used to, that's all bud.

I am on my iPhone, lol.
But I'll shoot some pics.
Most mods were under the hood but the outside looked nice too.

It was just lowered and had an exhaust, plus the Toyota symbols and all that.

I'll find a few pics from my ig

Yeah, I understand that.
I have driven some that seemed much heavier. The first I ever test drove was pretty light compared, but it was also a bit newer I believe. I think a 2010.

Yeah my firs clutch was like pushing on air, then I accidentally messed that one up...

Ahaha.... It was my first clutch car and I didn't do too much of my research.
But after getting a motorcycle and learning that clutch and understanding what popping the clutch meant for wheelies, it made a world of difference for little ol' me.

But my second one was a bit more stiff and I could even feel it engage now.

But it'll just take some getting used to for the Z.
I don't have weak legs, just not used to the feel.

Figured it out!
The outside wasn't much. I wanted to get that Varis Bodykit.
But it was so damn expensive.
I was saving up for the Lexus Style front bumper though.
Compliments the FRS nicely.

But under the hood it has a twinscrew supercharger and tune, custom exhaust setup, with the cat though. It sounded better than any I've ever heard, wasn't too expensive either.

Then it had some meh Megan racing track edition coilovers, k&n intake, HID the emblem conversions except for the steering wheel, and I had painted the engine bay a dark purple.
But I don't have any photos of that on ig or on my new phone :/

But I loved it dearly. Sad to see it go.
It was really funny though since for some reason people always mistook it for a Maserati Gran Turismo.
Which just baffled me, but I guess for people who don't care; they may not see the difference.

Even the guys at Les Schwab came to me and asked if it was a Maserati then looked all confused and asked why I put scion logos on the wheels..
But just imagine being 19 and single in this thing.
It was great aha.

Not a bad looking FRS. It definitely needed the supercharger. And could've benefitted from a set of wheels, but hey now you have the Z

Thanks!

Oh and I also found this one!
Same year, low miles.
I guess I convinced my mother into getting one too.
http://m.melraptonhonda.com/specials...upe/6.htmlWhat do you guys think a reasonable price to talk down to would be?

I know about Zs very little so educated inputs would be appreciated!

+1 Especially since it was supercharged. At least get an 07-08 HR 350z.

I like the 370z but I'm in temporary disability right now and I'm just finding something that fits this budget.
Since I can't work right now due to my accident.

So I'm going cheaper for now to just play it safe.
I will upgrade in the near future though.
Probably sometime around June maybe.

I was looking at the 370z nismo but I'm unsure.
But for now I'll stick with the 04 350!
I was looking at turbos for it, but I'd rather not drop $9,000 right now haha!
Especially when I plan to upgrade.

You should not be sitting at a light with the clutch in to begin with. Not good for the throw-out bearing.

Good to know!
I never knew that.
I mean I did it most of the time in my frs anyways.

But I didn't know it was bad to do!

Hard to imagine that your frs had a twin scroll with not a single picture? I myself would be stoked about it hah
And to note the painted stock calipers and wheels?
hmmm
