Default Long time creeper, Epic first post

Hello everyone. I recently purchased a 2003 Daytona blue touring edition Z.
I picked it up for $3k as it was in need of repair.
(I have pics from each event)
I had the car for 5 days before I threw a rod through the block.

Having never replaced a motor before I thought I was hosed, but I was able to replace it without issues thanks to information I found here.
With that issue resolved it was on to fixing the body and all the common 350z problems. Window motors, fuel door release motor, and the amp to name a few.

all that's left to do is repair, replace or recover the driver seat since the bag deployed, and reconnect my a/c lines.
rather than replace the entire quarter panel, I removed the damage skin to pull the underbody back to spec.

Its not as bad as it looks lol. I straightened out the worst of the massive dent and welded the skin back on.

i replaced the door because it was just too far gone for me to repair. here it is in primer<br/>
ready for paint!

finished product

My man. How much was on the odo? $3k might have been a bit high, but still a decent deal.

Good job so far and good luck on the rest of your work!

I think I'm going to order a set of clazzio seat covers. From what I have read on here, I think it's my best option.

I would have snatched that up for 3k if its a 6spd... The motor would have put a damper on my day but you always roll the dice and hope for the best when you buy a project toy.

You can get a adapter from z1 that plugs into your seat wiring and simulates the air bag... Think its for aftermarket seats without airbags so you dont always have the lights, or im sure you can find some seats.

Looking good..

it is a 6 speed. I'll have to look into that adapter.
