to be fair to the situation - I've seen it called both ... when I bought my SPLs they were labelled as traction bars but SPLs website says the toe bars replace the OEM buckets...tomato tamoto

Thankfully i mounted a fire extinguisher yesterday.
Got a P0301 code, swapped cylinder 1 & 2 coil packs and the motor ran fine. It being intermittent helps me rule out cracked rings or vacuum leak (plus I tested with carb cleaner). So i'll just keep them holstered for now.

Installed my Steering Wheel, BC ES (DR) Coilovers. Dropped it 2.5 inches front and rear. I measured before letting it settle, just want to see how much I can get out of them. Might raise it up a bit.
Installing the SPL arms was a breeze. And making my own eccentric lockouts for the OEM adjusters was fun.

Over the weekend i made some seat brackets and welded for the first time. Knowing how to weld is dangerously awesome. A friend had some replica bride seats laying around, said I could use them until I start competing and get some Sparco Evo seats. After taking too long to get it all mounted up and fit right, I found out that the seat sliders work therefore rendering my brackets useless. I really wanted to have sliders so this morning I ordered some buddy club low seat rails for our cars. They should be here wednesday.

PBM makes awesome parts.
I installed their angle kit (lower parts) along with some s14 extended tie rods. Super easy install and my god will I be killing it when it comes to U-turns.

Blew my motor up 2 weeks ago. (Here's the thread about it) It was fun while it lasted. Just went to JDM of California here in Los Angeles and picked up this gem. Got it home and am gunna start the swap this weekend. Any tips?? People?

Oh engine swaps. They teach me so much.
In 1 day I was able to pull the motor and trans, swap everything over to the new motor and drop it back into the car.
Next day went to start it, only to have it crank with no fuel and no spark. Great.
Realized that I hadn't aligned a the flywheel, so dropped the trans and got that sorted. Pretty fun process.
I've owned a Z and feel like a master of the car at this point. Not much left I haven't done.
**While trying to bleed the coolant system, I got frustrated and gave up. Such a pain in the ***. I love this car, but it's got so many quirks that really bite you in the ***.
Ended up ordering a new bleeder valve, since mine broke. Got the temp sensor one from Z1, also new hoses, new 170 thermostat and ****, hopefully that's it. I'm ready to drive this thing.
