Default This Z Thing

Hey All,

I am new to the forum and new to the Z. I am building up a parts list so am hoping you more seasoned members can point me in the right direction with some build options.
I am looking to purchase a VQ35DE non HR and have a few build options on the table: NA, Twin Turbo, or just LS swap. I really would like to not do a swap, but dollar for dollar I will leave it on the table.
The NA build would look something along the lines of a 4.15 stroker, 11:1 CR pistons, forged internals, and the typical bolt ons plus a tune. I have heard AEBS made a fairly god stroker, the Z1 intake manifold I have heard has had good gains.
TT setup would also be a stroker with 9:1 CR forged internals, JWT has a solid TT kit.
Then finally a LS3 swap with the Sikky swap kit.
Cost for the project is around 20K including the body.
Any suggestions on parts or kits and insight on pitfalls would be super appreciated.
Look forward to hearing thoughts and the build.
Thanks

All in all I'm just looking for a really fun DD (who isn't). I'm not overly concerned with large amounts of HP but low to mid torque and feel 400 maybe to 450 is sufficient for where I want to be. If that can be accomplished via NA and less than 20-25k then even better.
Again it's a DD that may see some track or the occasional drift day, but that isn't the focus.

Thank you for a legit reply, much appreciated.

Generally speaking, built motors need to be rebuilt, often. So I'd keep things as OEM as possible if it's a daily.

If you're deadset on having this car be fast enough for you and a DD. I'd go LS, plenty of torque everywhere and an affordable and inexpensive to fix package.

If you were tracking the car often and ready to accept that it could blow up at any minute, I'd just slap some turbos on your DE and call it a day.

yup .....lool at the NA build section of the forum........not work $$ compared to HP.

FI is only feasible if you have tons of cash and still not practical as a DD (most often)

Best bet is buy a used supercharger, do the work yourself, tune it conservatively, and have a beater or motorcycle ready for your down time.

Welcome to the forums, Hidesato. Hell of an introduction, for what it's worth.

Just search the forums and if you have questions about information on any of the threads that haven't already been answered, just revive it with your follow-up questions and folks will help however they can (for better or worse.) Like jhc said, the FI Forum will have a lot of good answers pertaining the questions you're asking. There's 15 years of collective knowledge there and much of the information is current. Good luck.
