Default Hello All

Hi All. I just joined. I purchased a 2006 Touring Roadster last weekend. My other car is Nissan Frontier and i love it. I wanted.a Z for a long time but could not find a decent one. this one has low miles and is in good shape. Two previous owners and both were older folks that could not get in or out of this car, reason for selling. I am trying to read through all Dos and Don't s . Pearl color still shines.

It has Bose CD changer which is not reading CDs so I am trying to figure out if I can reset it. or what needs to be done.
thank You

thank You all. Have the Z for a few days. treating it gently. The convertible top is some engineering. I am reading the other post where it does not close or fully open. Looks like I need to take it to the dealer to get it lubricated so it stays functional.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new ride and welcome to the forum.
The problem you mention with the Bose CD player is common to all 350Z's. Some are OK and others like yours aren't. I've had my Z for 5 years now and the CD player started skipping and jumping in cold weather and gradually got worse to the point where it wouldn't played CD's that I'd burned and then progressed to not even playing pre-recorded CD's. The only option you have is to replace it as I don't recall reading about anyone who had a fix for it, and to be honest they're not that good when new. But yourself a decent modern, or buy a more open exhaust and use that as your soundtrack. I just love the sound of the engine. Anyway i hope that's of some help and i hope you enjoy the car as much as i enjoy mine.

Congrats on this beautiful white ZR. Was looking for one but ended up with great deal on a silver with low km. Welcome.

Thank You guys. Appreciate the welcome. Already getting much compliments and awesome advice and help from this form. thank You.
Eventually I will replace the radio. I had Maxima before and had the same experience with its Bose system. Finally found a company that would repair the speaker amplifiers for around $50 bucks each. In that car the Clarion stamped Bose had weak soldering so a knowledgeable friend of mine soldered all links on the motherboard/circuit board for me and it played fine. I tried to contact Bose but the lady was so rude. Not sure what Bose's philosophy is but they are not known for quality.
The car is in decent shape with factory tuned exhaust that rumbles and growls when stepped on. Eventually, i will start playing with it. A couple of mods that are on the Wish List are Catch-can; Front reflector mod to DRL and turn signal for now. I also have 2005 Frontier Nismo with 6speed manual. and a 2012 CBR1000RR. my daily ride in the summer.

Welcome! Nice looking roadster.

If you want to try and lubricate everything yourself (and save a few dollars from the stealership), I believe you can use Nissan's OEM window grease. Part #: 999MP-WRG00P (Grease Window Regulator)

Awesome Thank You very much. I plan on stopping by the local dealer to pick belts, PCV and this grease. I am technically inclined so can do small stuff like that ( so I think).
