Default Should I buy this 350z?

https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/c...537816121.html

It's what I can afford and it is in a color scheme that I am looking for. It was a lease for first 20k miles. It has a salvage title - owner claims that it was never actually wrecked but was essentially insurance fraud to make it a salvage title and then get the payout. Owner said he doesn't mind if I take it to a shop to put up on a hoist... I would also like to have the engine compression tested.

What should I consider? What price would you offer? Thanks in advance!

It looks pretty clean, besides the curb rash. Do the compression/leak down test and see what your numbers are. Seems like a decent price, but it's hard to say without looking the car over.

I wouldn't pay more than $2,000 for ANY salvage car.

Anyone who'd commit insurance fraud and then tell you there's nothing wrong with his salvage-titled car deserves a punch in the throat. If you actually trust this guy and buy his car, get back to me, because I have a bridge to sell you.
